YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Very sad today I just learnt that Graemes' wife passed un-expectedly about one wk ago today. He came home from a dog show to find his wife of 30 odd years dead in their home - aortic aneuryism. Graeme handled some of my dogs for me - and he had been out of touch for awhile - now I know why. Life is so very fleeting isn't it? I just can't imagine what it is like to come home to a dead partner -how very devastating that would be! He created a wonderfull slideshow tribute to his wife - whom I did not personally know other than a few brief chats on the phone. My heart aches for the pain he is going through. RIP Christine beloved wife to Graeme.

| Yes life is fleeting. I can't imagine the heartache Graeme must be feeling. About a month ago a friend's father was out for a walk. He was 81 years old and in great shape - he walked 4-5 miles daily. He lived in a rural area with winding dirt roads. As he was crossing the road on one of his walks a driver who was not paying attention hit and killed him. Don't be afraid to tell the people you love that you love them. Hopefully they will be a part of your life for a very long time but you never know what will happen. RIP Christine.

| This is so very tragic....so heart breaking......the absolutely ONLY comforting thing the family left behind can find solace in, is the fact that when a person dies from a ruptured aortic aneurysm, it is almost instantaneous......I saw this happen twice in my profession, ....... in one instance, the patient was sitting up in bed, talking to me, and suddenly without even a second of a warning, the patients facial expression reflected that there was something not right, and then, truly, absolutely, within 2-4 seconds, that patient was gone from us....an almost instantaneous passing...no suffering, no time to even experience unbearable pain, just GONE! The other patient was was sitting up in bed, talking with me about his menu for the following day, he stopped, looked up at me with a quizzical look on his face, and he too almost instantly, fell back on his pillow, gone from us......no suffering, no violent illness, just like a light switch was flipped off....he was gone before his head fell back onto the bed. This family can only take comfort in this horrible, gut wrenching event, that this precious person was most assuredly gone from this life, before she even fell back on the bed....and if she died while in her sleep, OMG!! This would be the way to cross over!!!......walking on this side, then stepping right over the line to the "other side"! God bless the people left behind to mourn her passing, but at least they can take comfort it was most assuredly like a flash, no pain, no suffering..... |
