| Mom finally got out of the house See out other thread http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/off...t-house-2.html Skin sister came to visit here in NJ to see her new niece and have a business meeting in Richmond, Va. She hoped to see it snow while she was here (she sees snow up in the mountains from her house but it rarely snows in Seattle) She flew into Newark, was taking to train to Richmond and was flying out of Richmond back to Seattle, Wa. They changed plans and drove Moms car to Richmond to spend time together. They stayed in a nice hotel for two days (huh,, we only get LaQuinta). Saturday when it was time to leave, Mom dropped our skin sister at Richmond airport and headed back north to us. It started to flurrie and she she was sure it would be ok. Sisters flight was delayed an hour leaving Richmond This meant she missed her Chicargo connection to Seattle and in Chicago they put her on a plane to Denver to connect to a Seattle flight. Well she ended up having to sleep in the airport in Denver as that flight wasn't able to leave until 8 the next morning and she couldn't find a room, before she headed to Seattle She lost her coat in the airport and they still haven't located where her luggage is because of all the flight changes But she is home now and her puppy, a rescued Great Dane named Walter, and her husband were so glad to see her. As for Mom she did pretty well on the road until she hit 495 around Washington, DC and the road turned to slush but she motored on until Maryland. The temps dropped and the roads turned to icey ruts and to bumper to bumper slow traffic. She pulled off 95 at Laurel, Md. After checking two hotels she found a room and spent the night there. She got home about 3 yesterday and we were so glad to see her. We will spend today snuggling on the couch with her but if she wants to go out, we wouldn't mind taking a car ride but she doesn't look too anxious to get in the car. Stuck on the couch, Bubba and Sissy

| Glad you got to go out but wow.... What horrible time for you to be on 495.. Now that you're home... How about you start working on those masks I asked about in the other post? |

More stories from the road........My daughter has a friend at work that was originally from this area and she told my daughter to see if she could find Tastycake coconut pies and bring her some back to Seattle. When my dauGhter was stuck in Denver airport the food services were closed so she ate the pies . I had picked up some coconut Easter eggs that my mom loves when in Va but when I finally found a room, I didn't want to leave so I ate the candy and a big pretzel from Wawa..

| Bubba and Sissy, I'm glad to hear your mom and skin sister are safe after their travel ordeals. Eeeek! They passed by our home on the way to Richmond. Wish we would have known, Max and Teddy and I would have stood on the highway overpass waving a banner. Tell your mom no more road adventures until spring. Keep her busy with the knitting needles, and make sure she has good food.
