| Heading to Texas (Dallas) in a couple weeks for an event. Anything fun to do or is it really as boring as the internet makes it out to be? lol Any good eats?

| There are thousands of things to do, places to see, activities to experience, etc. in Dallas....where do YOUR interests lie? How long will you be in Dallas? There are enough things to see and do and visit to take up a significant amount of time! |

| There's everything under the sun here. It depends on your interests and how adventurist you are. The Dallas metroplex is very spread out and large. Where are you staying? Will you have a car? How long will you be here?

| Are you serious?! Thats so sad. Thanks for the heads up. I have very good self control over things like this, but yeah, it's not easy.

| Just don't go over to that part of it, it's marked on the map as (if I remember correctly) "dog town" and is off to the side and not in the middle of it all. The whole thing is so large that we spent two days walking and we still didn't get to see it all and didn't set foot in that part. If you're only going for the day you won't have any trouble avoiding it. Have fun!

| Here's just a couple of ideas. Google "Deep Ellum" in Dallas and if you're brave enough, get a friend to take you around there on a Saturday night for the funky shopping, food, artists, music. Then spend Sunday at the Dallas Arts District, where you can walk throughout that corner of downtown Dallas to see the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, which includes the massive Lay Family Concert Organ, view gorgeous works of art, sculpture, amazing things at the Perot and Nasher Museums and maybe the finest silver collection in the whole world along with other fabulous art at the Dallas Museum of Art, tour the Dallas Theater Center. The restaurants in the arts district are often high end and booked up but some are available to walk-ins and scores of food trucks will serve you wonderful, exciting foods as you roam around. If you have any money left, go visit the original Dallas Neiman Marcus store a few streets over from the Arts District but trust me, you'll never get out of the shoe and handbag departments. https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...+Ellum&imgdii= Deep Ellum, Texas ? | You know what the internet is usually made up of so don't ever trust their opinions - the overly PC types who are so quick to criticize, don't like anything real, living, breathing people like. Dallas, like most big cities and little towns, is full of fun things to do with fun people around all the time if you are open to them.

| Thanks ladies. We only have one day to explore. Staying at Wyndham Garden North Dallas (LBJ Freeway). We are not into art or museums. We like night life, sciency things, etc.
