| What else is there to know about you? Hi all, I immensely enjoy reading about everyone's Yorkie baby and I enjoy writing about mine But, I do wonder, what else is there to know about you all? I thought I would let you know a little about me because I find that, sometimes, knowing more about people helps communication which is often difficult online. Plus, I just enjoy learning! So, I'm married with a teenager. I am female and my YorkieTalk name refers to my Teddy's name rather than my own..haha. I'm in my mid-thirties (that was hard to admit..). I am an American but have lived in England for over ten years. I recently resigned my job as an insurance broker to focus on my study of neuropsychology and will be pursuing a doctorate in cognitive neuropsychology. I love to read fantasy novels and crochet when time allows. I am awful at crochet but I hope to get better and actually make a blanket which is square in shape rather than triangle...ha. That's about it for now. Feel free to ask me anything else, though, and please let us know all about you! I look forward to your comments! |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I have a question for ya SirTeddyKins - how did you end up in England? I'm very envious as I'm a total Anglophile. SO much I want to see in the UK. As far as a little about me, let's see....I'm an artist/painter with a bachelor's degree in Nursing, although I'm not practicing nursing now. I miss the patients, but not the doctors, lol! Animals are one of the truest loves I've ever experienced, though my hubby is not too bad either . Me and hubs don't have kids, but love having our fur kids. We would both love to travel like mad, but just hate leaving our babies behind. I enjoy reading, surfing the net/researching things, traveling, photography, architecture, design of all kinds, fashion, music, cooking/baking, being with my fur babies, going out to eat. My dislikes: intolerance, the phone, racism, being late, making plans, stagnancy, apathy, exercising, and the fact that baked goods have calories - I think that's a bunch of crap!

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | That's a good thread Harry's Mom, but what the heck, we have this one now too I loved England visited three times. Used to travel way more, saw a bit of the world and loved most moments of my adventures. Now I travel with my dogs, show, train, and breed them. I am an eclectic conservative or liberal, depending upon what we are talking about......... and your own world view point. Former dancer, couple of degrees, and a retired professional accountant, I also count teaching, massage therapy, and yoga as part of the loves and careers of my life. I am not a senior yet, but getting there. I love cooking, and a bit of baking. Love to hike, and swim with the pups. I am not handy with my hands at all, and God laughs at me, as I have 3 dogs that require a lot of grooming.... I love to learn and to study subjects of interest to me. I have been blessed with great friends, wonderfull dogs, and a rich and rewarding life.

Thanks for responding so in depth! What a good idea to put likes and dislikes! Do you have a site where you post your paintings or do you ever post them here? I'd love to see. I have always loved art...going to art galleries is one of my favorite things to do. However, I can't draw or paint so I admire anyone who can. I, too, hate calories in baked goods and everything else!!! To answer your question, my journey to England is not exciting, sadly. I met a wonderfully good looking boy and married him and then followed him to his island...lol. Here is a pic of me and hubby - the love of my life - and the reason I have a weird accent now!

Hi Gemy! Thanks for replying. Which parts of England did you visit? I have lived here awhile now but I don't think I've visited everywhere though I seem to have visited more places than the citizens! You have had a varied life, if you don't mind me saying!! What kind of dance did you specialize in? What made you interested in dogs? And what makes you see yourself as an eclectic conservative or liberal? I wanted to start a thread about personality types because that is a very fun way for me to learn about people, as well, but I guess I better check to see if that's been done before..lol That is one thing about me, I'm impatient. Therefore, admire that you can be a teacher. I'm sure that takes a lot of patience!

| Oh my.. where to start.. Let's see, I am 7 days away from 40 EEKS!!! Was told at 30 I could never have children so after being with my boyfriend for 6 years he got me Guinness for our Anniv in 2011, Dec 2012 we decided we needed a little boy and a little girl to complete our family so we put a deposit on Stella... then Feb 2013 we found out that Dr's are NOT always right and as of Sept 2013 we added our skin daughter Teagan. I work in the mortgage loss mitigation retention field, I also have my insurance claims adjuster license and a degree in floral design and event/ wedding planning that I do not use (I really DISLIKE brides 99% of the time). My boyfriend owns a roofing company and used to do a lot of storm work travel but now sticks close to home. People say I do not look my age and I know for a fact I do not act it But I do tend to speak before I think so there is no telling what might come from my mouth. I love going on cruises and seeing the world BUT have yet to make my dream trips... Ireland and Scotland!! Never met a carb I did not love and hmm that’s all I can think of at the moment

| Very Neat Thread! Well my screen name is my name and year of birth, so I'm a few weeks away from 31. I am originally from Detroit but moved to Atlanta 6 years ago. Thought I'd try living somewhere else and starting fresh. I have a bachelors in Neuroscience and a Masters in Public Health. My daughter was born my sophomore year of undergrad, so I had her at 19 technically a teenager but a grown up. It's just me and her. We got Troy our first yorkie 2 years after moving to GA. He was a joy to own and very laid back but we lost him last year. Fast forward to now and we have Emma. No husband or boyfriend but I date here and there. I don't think I've given up on love yet. I work in pharmaceutical research as an auditor but have been in the field since college. One of my professors thought I needed a job because I had a baby and I said well sheesh I do, I'll work and the career snow balled from there. So many of the drugs and some devices you've seen come to market or will come to market, I've seen in one form or another through the FDA approval process. I enjoy animals to the fullest, but I'll be friendly with cats from a distance. I like spending time with my family, traveling and reading. I have recently opened an online pet supply store that I'm hoping will grow. Being an entrepreneur is a lot of work and a lot of time. I volunteer quite a bit with my friends for various causes around Atlanta and like shopping for my godchildren back in Michigan.

For England, I mainly visited London and surrounding areas, Bridgnorth in the Midlands and around there, I did have some very good friends who lived in Bridgnorth For dance I started ballet when I was 4yrs old, and eventually attended the National Ballet School in Toronto for a couple of years. Dogs were in my life from the time I was born, until after I finished. university, then a long hiatus as my life was too busy to properly care for a dog. Eclectic :a person who derives ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources. I can't and don't subscribe to any particular individual philosophy, politics, or religion. I pick and choose what makes up the fabric of my life (well as much as I am able to). The universe does have a habit of throwing curve balls every now and again. I believe in sound fiscal management and policy, but also believe in social welfare and justice. I love to read, although right now, I have not been reading much. Taking the dogs for a walk, or grooming them etc, seems to take up a good deal of time :-) Enjoy your day

| I'm a couple few months and years old, born into wealth and privilege to two doting parents. I had my own room with a ginormous Canopy bed, draped in luscious layers of white, burgundy and the prettiest shade of pink you ever could dream of...scripted on the headboard was PRINCESS LYNZY, I had 5 healthy Yorkies and a plethora of dollhouses with the most intricate little pieces of furniture you ever saw. My hair was long and never snarled. I had all the pretty dresses and lots of Bastad clogs. My butt was firm, my boobs were big and I was adored by all the James Dean lookalikes in town.... My brothers were caring and gentle and never left me on the top bunk without a ladder, they never tied me to the dining room table with masking tape, they did not burn my doll cradle nor did they tickle me till I cried. I married my best friend and had 2 perfect children, they both live in the US and are well educated and have awesome paying jobs. We live in a mansion on a hill, my front lawn is sprawling and covered with roses in the summer and olive green moss in the winter....my nights are consumed with snuggling with my 101 Yorkies, looking at pictures on fb and YT of all the puppies recently released from the puppymills that are now nationally outlawed.....they are so happy!
