| For Those Who Live In Hot Climates - Labor Day and Fall Are Coming!!!!!!!! As a longtime resident of North Texas, I've come to terms with our long, hot summers but boy, by this time of the year, with Labor Day just around the corner, I see hope ahead! Every year I long for Labor Day as it always tells me that the worst is over and soon our weather will grow cool and we all have the entire rest of the year and the first 5 months of the new year to enjoy life out and about except for a few icy days in the winter and a few thunder storms we shake through!!! It's wonderful to live here where weather hardly ever really impacts your life in a hard way since we have air-conditioned houses, public places and cars - and even an air-conditioned football stadium - to keep us comfortable but still, the heat does prevent you from doing some things you'd like to do during the heat of a summer day. So, fellow Hot-Climate-Dwellers, Labor Day is on its way, football and fall are around the corner and the long, hot summer of 2014 is drawing to a close. Anyone want to celebrate with me? Happy Labor Day!!!

YT Addict | Can't wait until I can work out in the yard, without having to change clothes a half a dozen times because I sweat so much...... Oh wait, ladies don't sweat, they glow. So I'll celebrate with you.......

| Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! This hasnt been a really killer of a summer here in Houston, like LAST year where we had well over 30 days of 100+* temps....we have not broken 99* at all this year....but they are saying we are going to have a really COLD winter....not much of a deal way down here...may hit 28* a couple of times, may even get a dusting of 1/2 inch snow to deal with! Y'all up in North Texas have it worse with ice and snow, but I still will take this weather over anyplace else in the country! And it will indeed be dropping into the 70's and 80s before too long....then temps will plummet into the 50's and 60's.......yahooooooooo!!!! PTL!!!!!! | TG! It's almost 10 degrees hotter here than LA, it's been in the high 90's here (feels like 100+)...so looking forward to Fall (my fav season) & winter. It's supposed to be about 10 degrees colder than LA, yay! I like cool-cold CA weather, bundle up w/the furry buddies w/a nice hot cup of tea!

| I love cool weather and bundling up myself. Cannot wait for the day I can turn off the A-C and open the windows. Tibbe loves to lay in the window sill with just the screen between him and the outside. He gets so excited if he sees a squirrel or cat or bird in the yard!

| It's just after 9:00 p.m. We had clouds and some rain late this afternoon/evening but it's still 81 degrees and humid! Dogs days of summer need to go away. Hurry, Fall, and cool me down!!! I want to see falling leaves and feel the chill in the morning air.

| Fall weather has been in NE Pa. since May, what summer, we had fall weather, this was the coldest summer ever, the only time I used my A/C was when I had to leave baby boy home alone, and that was only 3 times. Winter is right the corner for us.

| I sure wish we could share heat and cold with each other. I'd just ship you all 25 degrees of our heat and cool us down while warming you up and we'd all be happier!!! Doesn't that sound like a better arrangement than we have now?

My tree in the front yard hasn't even begun dropping leaves yet this year and normally for some reason it starts to drop some of its big leaves as early as mid-August. I hope that doesn't mean our summer is going to be drawn out.

My brother and I grew up loving snow and the mountains and always wanted to live in Colorado. He actually moved there with his family and made it 5 years before the snow got them all down. He said the driveway was essentially frozen over for months at a time as the snow would melt and freeze and the driveway was almost always in the shade for some reason. He said he had to spend too much of each day just keeping up with things the weather had done or was about to do. Now they just drive or fly up there from New Mexico to enjoy Colorado. Still, I'm so ready to open the windows and feel some cool air blowing in one day before too long!

I also can't wait to walk my dogs more! My poor boys scratch the leash cabinet during the day but I have to tell them it's too hot to walk. We have to wait until about 7pm every night, and it's still 90 degrees! It certainly is a long, hot summer and I'm looking forward to my daily 75-80 degree weather so we can get back outside.

| Monday is supposed to be the first day of Fall. I won't feel true fall weather in GA until Mid October. But I'm certainly ready for football season! Cute Sweaters and fall means my birthday is coming up. Lots of reason to celebrate!
