| New Show On Cinemax Tonight I got wind of new show (series) that is starting tonight on Cinemax. I saw a trailer for it and looks really good. For any one that is into medical drama. This about the old time medical in the 1900's and how they handled things. I have set my DVR up to record and I hope it will hold my intrest, which it seems like it will. Oh the name of the show is called The Knick. Here is a write up about it. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/08/ar...1900.html?_r=0

| Woohoo! Of all the neat things - DirecTV started a free trial of Cinemax yesterday running through Sunday night so I got the first episode on DVR!!! Now, if it's any good, I'll have to subscribe to Cinemax to watch the entire series or wait another free trial when hopefully they are rerunning the serial back-to-back.

| It was a great show, but not for the squeamish. Wow the primitive equipment, and the surgery was at times was very barbaric, but I guess that is the way it was back in 1900.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Cool-- they actually showed The Knick's first episode on HBO this weekend - I guess to promote it. The subsequent shows won't be on HBO, but I got to see the 1st episode - loved it! And yup, def not for the squeamish. Looks like a great show w/ very complex characters....I think it's going to be really good.

| They're offering the first episode for free on youtube and comcast on demand too. It was really good, but I don't get any premium channels so I don't think I'll be able to watch anymore . |

| I loved it!! But I tend to love medical shows anyway. This one seems like it's going to be great. I also love Clive Owen.
