| Att all ultrasound techs, nurses or,,,, anyone who knows what to look for. First of all I am overjoyed to announce that my beautiful daughter is expecting. Yes I'm going to be a grandma of 2 in just 5 months!!! We went to her regular appointment today and they did a in office ultrasound because my daughter fell the other day and was pretty sore. So doc wanted to make sure everything was ok. My daughter is 18 weeks tomorrow and we all are dying to find out what this little bundle of joy is. With this in office machine not being what you call up to date quality crystal clear but from what we all seen, it undenialible a little,,,,,, yet she said not to go shopping just yet. What do you all think? Boy or girl?

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | CONGRATS!!! How incredibly exciting . My bach degree is in nursing, but I totally suck at reading U/S....it's just a visual language in which I have no training at all. Hopefully, someone else will come along who can help out...

| Thanks ladies! We are so excited. Both my daughter have been googling images ever since we learned she was expecting. And we see along with all the nurses there say girl. Doc says girl too but made us promise not to go shopping just yet. She wants to wait till my Des has her second trimester screening. That's when they will do a 4d. Only problem is that's not for another 4 weeks! Talk about torture!!! LOL

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | By 16 weeks gestation, external genitalia has differentiated. I think the doc is right with this one. With those two shots, I would say girl. I see two femurs in the first shot and the spine, pelvis and a stomach bubble in the second. I don't see anything resembling little boy bits. It's hard waiting, isn't it?

| My first born was a surprise but that's only in 91 the technology was there but not as advanced as it is now. And the only reason we didn't find out what she was is for the simple reason that the little brat had either had her legs crossed or would not give us a good angle. LOL It was nice to be surprised BUT I do have to admit I much rather know as early as possible! My fingers are getting itchy because I want to get started on baby dresses and tutus after hearing "possibly girl"

YT 2000 Club Member | I am seeing a girl, too. I have no medical experience except seeing lots of ultra sounds as a grandma. The tech once told me if it is a girl.....their should be 3 " spots" in that area and this one has that! It is hard to explain what I mean.....congratulations!

YT 1000 Club Member | The three lines/dots aren't always a guarantee but usually when I've seen ultrasounds with them the patient is having a girl. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I know you can't wait! |

Hehe Delilah Love is what she wants to go with and I didn't care too much for it at first but it is growing on me.
