| Prayer and Good Thoughts Request Frank Sinatra is not a Yorkie but he is a precious little baby who needs our good thoughts and prayers. He is a sweet little boy who had a careless owner who put him in a terrible position at 7 weeks of age. Thank goodness they took him to a Vet and the Vet was able to get them to surrender him to Fulton County Animal Services. Fulton County called Atlanta Pet Rescue and we took him immediately. Any good thoughts and prayers you can offer would be appreciated (Frankie needs them). https://www.atlantapetrescue.org/animal/frank-sinatra/

| I saw Frank this morning, he is doing really good. He was up walking around his pen and in my non-medical opinion he could see. Frank is still really young, they put him in a pen with some other puppies so he could have the puppy time, you know for playing and learning life lessons. Frank looked happy to have some friends.

| Frankie Update: He is doing so much better, his sight is coming back slowly and the brain swelling is going down. He is walking (okay running and hopping) around with his little puppy buddies at the shelter. I think Frankie loves the chance to just be a puppy again. I talked to the Vet Tech who has been treating him on Sunday, she said that from what she was told by Fulton County Animal Control Frankie was in a fight involving him and two big dogs, the AC officer had to break up the fight. One of the big guys and Frankie were hurt pretty badly (again why in the heck was a 7 week old puppy out with big dogs and why was he fighting is beyond me). Currently Frankie is under strict protocol at the shelter, no one can handle him but the medical staff. He is in with the puppies so that restricts who has direct exposure to him (and the puppies). He does get a lot of vistors who stop by and see him and he seems to enjoy being a star.

| Oh and I should add , he is loud - the little goober barks really loud for a little guy and all the dang time. He is always waking up his puppy pen mates to play.

| that is awesome thank you for the update...do you think they are a fighting ring operation and maybe that is why he was out with big dogs...not sure just a thought as I really have no breeding knowledge but the last thing I would allow is a puppy to hang out with big dogs...especially ones who are not his mother and father. so glad he is getting better and will most certainly have a brighter future now.

| I am not sure if they were dogs in a fight or part of a dog fighting operation. I would hope if it were the second all the dogs would be taken into Animal Control. We do hear some horror stories around here related to Pit Bulls. Since I have started volunteering at this shelter I have grown to really like the ones we get in. We primarily get small to medium dogs because that is what we are set up to house in the shelter but we do get some Pit Bulls. My experience the ones we have gotten in have been so mistreated that by the time they get to us their spirit has been really broken. A few weeks of vet care, good meals and training with our handlers they are wonderful dogs. We had one Pit Bull who came in about a year ago, she was so abused she had been hit in the head with something and her teeth were missing and her jaw was crooked. The Staff named her Mercy, after months of care we lost her due to a blood diesese. The Staff and Volunteers were heartbroken, they started a fund called the Mercy Fund so that we can take in these guys and help them. I think Frankie is getting help from the Mercy Fund also.
