Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I went back in time here today I just realized today that my husbands funeral in 2007 was the exact same day my daddy passed just this last September. I re-read this thread from 2007 that Crystalsmom posted...http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/off...ning-2-am.html It's a very long thread and back then it was quite a bit before I could even come read it ..... but, someone here called me to read and all I could think of back then was WOW - the awesome people on this site just wrapped their arms around me at a time I truly needed it... I wanted had to read that link above once more to see all the old friends that are still here and used to be here. Call it going back in time and from my own posts - I can still FEEL every bit of what I had posted - but no crying while reading like before (except right now)....When Joan (Crystalsmom) posted this thread originally - I could hardly see or type. Hugs Joan - I'll never forget the day someone called and made me get on here to read this thread after he died. YorkieTalked friends helped me through a very very hard time and to this day, I am grateful, thankful, amazed and totally wiped out after reading this whole thread clear headed for the first time. The friendships you can make on this site is unreal. I now live with a friend that I met right here on YT years ago. I would never have met her had I not answered a pm she sent me years ago.... Saw lots of people that are gone but saw lots of old friends and just wanted to say - the people here rock. They just do. Thanks for listening - I probably should never have posted on this but had to say thank you again. The Good news is I already hooked up with an old friend from here - just by this post !! I hope to see more if possible - no one has to read that link - it's just for reference. It does show the awesome people that have been on this site since it started practically - like ME |

| I have just been a member here for 3 years but found after only a few days what a loving and caring group of people subscribe to this site and have seen that succor continue. I'd heard some awful things about online forums but found very little to none of that on YorkieTalk and instead, a group of friends who support and back one another up during bad, stressful times. I'm so glad you had YT to help you through the tragedy of losing your husband and found a friend to live with in the process. I'm sure it was great comfort to know how many people you'd never met in person were there to send you their support and love during that awful time.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I remember so well when Leonard passed and how all of our hearts just broke for you. It was so heart-wrenching seeing all that you went through both before (when he was ill) and after he passed. I know the loss and grief is still there, as it never totally and completely leaves, but I also know you've done some good healing too...and for that I'm grateful. I so agree that YT is a truly amazing community!!! SO many wonderful people here. Sometimes, people really forget that bc they get so terribly caught up in complaining about YT or focusing on only the negative. But I've said it before and I'll say it a million more times if needed: the positive here ALWAYS outweighs the negative....the good here always eclipses the less good. We're never a perfect community, but since that's not achievable...I think it's fair to shoot for the next best thing: a great community! Thanks for your beautiful post, and for reminding us of how special this place can be.

| Gosh Villette, what a difficult road you took down memory lane. I could not be that brave, I tried once and tried to find a thread that meant so much from these wonderful people on YorkieTalk and just could not read beyond the second page. Each day will get a bit better and when you feel blue, just know that Leonard and your parents would want you to be happy once again. Anniversary dates bring it full steam again, never wanting to forget those we love and lost but so wanting to ease the pain. You are in my prayers always V
