Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Anyone have a butane fire pit / have feedback on it? I love me a fire, but don't love me the mess. We have a little iron fire pit made for wood...but I'm thinking about maybe buying a butane powered fire pit thingy majiggy (we don't have a gas line, btw, or I'd go that route). Does anyone have one and do you like it? If you have one with an exposed hose, does the look of the hose running off to the tank somewhere bug you? For examples: (non-exposed hose) Amazon.com: Propane Fire Pit w Stainless Steel... (simple; cheapest one) Amazon.com: Heininger 5995 58,000 BTU Portable... (kinda natural looking one, more than I'd like to pay though) Amazon.com: Outdoor Patioflame Fire Pit Fuel... (bulky and ugly, but hides the tank) Amazon.com: AZ Patio Heaters GS-F-PC Propane Fire... (pretty cool looking, but I won't spend this) Amazon.com: Real Flame Mezzo Round Propane Fire...

| I don't have one but I would get really get annoyed by the exposed hose. From your links, it doesn't seem to be that much more money for one with a hidden hose. Are you redoing your whole house? LOL

| We have one on our deck, but rarely use it. It runs on the small propane tanks. I have the bulky/ugly one that hides the tank. I like it because even with the fire on, there's area around for glasses, plates, propped feet, and the metal around the pit doesn't get too hot. I wouldn't like one that doesn't hide the tank. I'm OCD weird about stuff. I prefer the chimnea with pinion wood. I like the way the wood smells. We even burn it in the summer to help with mosquitoes and flys.

We also play cards on it sometimes when it's not being used. Or drinking games.
