| Girl's birthday cake ideas? Hello, all! I was wondering if anyone out there had any really cute ideas for a unique cake that I could make and decorate for my daughter's birthday...She's going to be 9 and is "too big for the Disney, Barbie, etc."....Her birthday invitations are hot pink, neon green, purple, etc. Any suggestions or unique ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!!

| I would probably do a smiley face or flower power. Smiley face I did for my Daughter's 10th birthday. Just round and iced bright yellow and put green lime decorator around the edges and then smiley with black icing. Flower power was the next year. Just used round pan for center and used round pans and sliced in half for petals used purple pink yellow and green(all BRIGHT) for decorating. I believe yellow in the middle with the hot pink petals and lime green for outlines

| I can't imagine cutting the fruitsnack one without making a mess of the cake. I think WHATEVER you do.. you should make it BRITE neon colors. 9 year olds would really like that

| I didn't even THINK about cutting the darn thing!!! That would be just my luck....go to all of the trouble to do this unique, homemade cake, and then I would massacre it when I went to serve it! Thanks for the input....I don't think it will be that one!

Sorry I can't be of any help. We always go to Dairy Queen and get Ice Cream Cakes. They decorate them anyway we want.

| Ok now those are too cute. We used to get the barbie ice cream cakes from Dairy Queen. I love making cakes too...it is almost as much fun and messy which makes it even more fun, lol.

| I really like the photo cakes! They can put any photo on a cake...It might be fun to do a collage of the friends who will be at the party or something so their piece has their picture on it or just a photo of your daughter as a baby or soem other favorite photo!! |
