| Ok fine. I'll try one out of the book. I'm going with carrots, celery, tomato and lime. That sounds like v8 with a twist. LOL |

| My boyfriend juiced for almost 2 months or something nuts like that after watching Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead and he made a ton of different things. I occasionally tried some of his concoctions. Beets, carrots, and apples was my favorite (I like the sweet ones, of course!) with some kale or spinach thrown in there. Carrot, apple, and ginger seems to be a good mix too. He also made one with cucumber, celery, tomatoes, and lemon (similar to the one you made) that wasn't as sugar-filled as the kinds I tend to prefer . |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Great idea for a thread. I really like this Dr. Oz recipe for Green Juice. Try Dr. Oz’s New and Improved ‘Green Drink’

| I am so new to this stuff that I figured it would be interesting to see what people are trying. I am sure that the same old stuff could get boring. Especially drinking vegetables! |

| That Green Drink looks yummy...pineapple really bumps up juices...especially if you have a lot of veggies in there and you want to sweeten it or cut through some of the stronger flavors. |

| Honestly, I didn't juice for very long. The amount of fruits and veggies needed and the amount of work with such a small yield of juice wasn't worth it. Plus all the fiber is taken out, and it take forever to clean the machine! Now I use a Vitamix. You drink all the fiber and way easier to clean. It's totally worth the money. We went through one blender a month breaking them all before we splurged and got the VM. The juicer we bought was the Breville (the middle one) and it was a PITA to clean. And if you're lazy and don't clean it till later, it's even worse! As for what I use, pretty much whatever is in season. Those are what's gonna taste the best and the best price. If you come along something with a great price, buy a lot and freeze them. We have enough strawberries to last us thru the winter!

Thanks for the tip about cleaning it. That's what I got, a Breville and it's sitting there with carrots in it waiting to be cleaned now. Well... gotta go clean it i suppose!! | |

| One thing that I wanted to try but never did with the Breville was start a compost heap with the leftover fibers. Supposed to make very good potting soil.

| Maybe just adding a scoop of fiber to your drink to complete it so you get your fiber too. It made me a pretty yummy drink, I'll admit. |

| Just one scoop is not enough. When I use the Vitamix I eat/drink 100% of the fiber. In the juice, you're essentially getting none. One plus though, when I was juicing, I used the juice as mixer for my rum and I had the cawayyyyziest dreams!
