Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | The GOOGLE COMPLEX! I was talking to my friend - couldn't for the life of me think of what I wanted to say - and as always....I WENT TO GOOGLE..... I told her - "man - since we have GOOGLE.... I don't even HAVE to think anymore" I wanted to spell dilemna correctly - spell check turned up 3 spellings - and I'm NOT supposed to think when GOOGLE is right there haha - now I'm even more frustrated cause I'm in a delimna but CANNOT SPELL IT which in turn is making me in an even worst delimna cause I used to be an A Student in English! Even Yorkietalk is telling me it is mis-spelled lol - this version is from 15 pages of google debate - NOT what I was expecting when I let my brain power die and headed to google it.... just wanted to say that - hi guys!

| Google is amazing. Typing on computers with auto-spellcheck has ruined my ability to spell. Spellcheck corrects my typing, so I'm not thinking or recalling things anymore. The other strange thing -- I had a couple of British and Canadian teachers in grade school who taught us their way of spelling many words. Lately I have been using a lot of their spellings.

| I was using Google Search vocal today and it works beautifully. Just say your word and there are your search result pages. Even brought up YorkieTalk for me!

| I'm confused. Yorkietalk is telling you dilemna is spelled wrong??? Maybe because it is?

| My husband is always asking me how to spell things. It makes me nuts that his laptop doesn't have spell check...keeps me sharp, though

| Well, I know this much, I may be losing my spelling capabilities from Spellcheck, etc., but boy, is it NICE to be able to look up that person's name you can't think of! I was trying to think of a kind of lesser movie star's name the other night and just couldn't. Got online, Googled Shirley Jones - his former wife -and there was the guy's name - Jack Cassidy - David Cassidy's dad. Couldn't even remember that he WAS David Cassidy's dad. It's little things like that - looking for things you can't remember, that's makes the net invaluable now. Even if I no longer have to remember to spell. Maybe if we stop using Spellcheck, it will all come back. Just make ourselves start either remembering or get the dictionary and do it the old-fashioned way. Ewww, NO!
