Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | ? On retrofit windows Has anyone replaced windows and sliding glass doors. I have narrowed down to Milgard Manufacturer but can't decide on the Tuscany or Styline, was curious if anyone has gotten these and are you happy with them. I prefer the nail in replacement but with stucco it would be lot more costly so have to go with retrofit.I appreciate any and all replys. Thanks. |

| I've installed alot of windows (new construction & replacement) but have never used that brand. Are you hiring it done or doing it yourself? I like the Tuscany best. Personally, I don't care for staggered sash look of the styleline.

Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | Definately having them done, I wish I could do them myself done a lot of things that never thought I would be doing, but couldn't do the windows, Don't look hard but am sure it takes two people to install, I could if someone helped me. I am leaning toward Tuscany, sounds like they have xlnt warranty, we have to go with tempered all throughout cause of where we live |

Yikes! Tempered glass throughout? Sounds expensive. I had to change a window above my Jacuzzi tub at my last house to a tempered glass window and it was pricey. I cracked one of my kitchen windows with a stone thrown up by the weedwacker earlier this summer. I'm debating on switching it out with the window in the bathroom (same size, but there's two identical windows in the kitchen & now one is cracked), and just replacing the bathroom window.
