| Best (but not $100+) pet proof trash can with lid I need one. Toto is a trash menace! I try and take out the trash at least 2 times a day when I am home. When I'm not home he's in his crate, or with MIL. But sometimes he will sneak by us and get into the trash. Two days ago he got El Pollo Loco trash. Thankfully he couldn't get the box open, but he dragged out the salsa containers (onion!) but good thing he couldn't get those open either by the time I found him. The bugger! I've seen these Simple Human cans at BBB but they are $100+. Any suggestions?

| Sorry...no help here. I've never had this issue so haven't had to research it. Good luck with your trash monger

| Toto is the worst trash monger out of all the fosters I've had. All the trash mongers have been boys too! LOL One time Toto got in all three downstairs trashcans in one day.

| I'm of no help either We have a tall trash can in the kitchen and most of the time the dogs aren't allowed in the kitchen (don't want them eating stuff off the ground) so they can't get to the trash.

| Joel can't even reach the kitchen garbage but as you can imagine Rosco is the worst garbage getter. We have the kind where it opens when you step on a pedal so he can't get in that one, unless its full and the lid is open a tiny bit lol so I have to change it a lot |

| Ah! Let me ask my sister. Her 100 lb sheepdog just loves to walk up to the trash can and nudge open the lid with her mouth. Her temporary solution was a small hand weight on top of the lid, which wouldn't work/be safe for a yorkie that tips the entire can over for obvious reasons. She did eventually get a new can though. I'll see if she remembers the name.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Also check out home goods. They have a lot of trash cans there and the prices are good. Sometimes you can even them on clearance

| For some reason I never liked trash cans under the sink or in the pantry. I think it's easier to clean the spot it's sitting on if it's out in the open.
