| Hope you all had a good Christmas day!!! Better then me at least! I wasn't even going to do anything but I was feeling a bit better and couldn't just stay home. The kids would have been so disappointed. So I got up, we opened gifts and got ready to go to my moms. Today is my sisters birthday as well. So she made me (yeah right) have a few Pink panties with her. For those of you who do not know what a pink panty is,,,,,,,, it's a super yummy drink made of whipped cream, frozen pink lemonmade, and whiskey blended with ice. We are on our second batch and my mom couldnt get the cap off of the new bottle of whiskey so got a knife to cut the seal and she stabbed herself right between her thumb and pointer finger. She had blood shooting from it. She runs to the kitchen sink and I mean it's just dripping. (I'm getting queezie thinking about it) I guess from me being sick and a little tipsy, down I went. Luckly Tim was right there to catch me before I landed on the floor. My mom was focused on me and holding a towel against her cut and the towel is just soaked in blood. She did not want to go to the hospital. We all were worried she hit a vane because of the amout of blood. But after some time and adding pressure the bleeding did stop. My step father had a first aid kit and put a butterfly bandage and an ace bandage around her whole hand. And she was just fine. Me on the other hand felt even more sick and didn't get the color in my face till about an hour later. Other then that I had a very good Christmas day.

| What a flashback!!! Tell your Mom that I did the same thing years ago!!! We were camping and I couldn't find the can opener and was opening a can with a knife ... missed the can ... stabbed my hand in that same spot and yes, it does bleed a lot! Tell her to be glad that an excited friend didn't pour the whiskey on the cut!! Never had anything burn so badly in my life ... I could've walked on Lake Lanier!! Glad she is OK!!

| Oh my!!! That did not sound like fun @ all. Christmas Eve about 15 years ago my mom was trying to cut frozen crossaints (sp?) and they were a really giving her a hard time. She had a hugeeeee butcher's knife and cut her finger all the way to the bone. I passed out (was about 8 years old) and then was dragged to the emergency room so she could get her finger taken care of and spent the whole night there. Moral of the story? Keep the knives away from the mothers!

| Hi all,,, yes my mom is ok. She went to work and was fine. She sure had us scared. Yorkiemom1970, blueberry moonshine? huuummm I try to stay away from anything with the word moonshine. LOL Although it sounds yummy. Villette, Your too much. My mom would have to be on her last breath in order to go to the hospital. Unlike me, I get a hangnail, and rush in. Just kidding, I guess I am somewhat like her too. But if I would have cut my hand like her I would have been down for the count. I can't stand the sight of blood!
