| Watch! Dove Real Beauty Sketches Okay, so this has been going around like mad on Facebook today...watch it. It's a Dove campaign designed to show women how we see ourselves, and how others see us. Interesting. Now here's something even more interesting, a blog critique on the video that shines a totally different light on the ad. Why Dove’s “Real Beauty Sketches” Video Makes Me Uncomfortable… and Kind of Makes Me Angry

| Personally, I think that blog is over thinking things, but to each their own thoughts I believe all marketing campaigns have a "not so hidden" agenda - to sell. With that said, I do think the commercial is meant to say that your INNER beauty shines thru to others and that others are usually not so attentive to outward appearances when the inner beauty is so blinding. Bottom line, it is trying to tell women not to be so hard on themselves. Most of us DO over critique ourselves while telling others to quit doing the same. That is a fact and you can over analyze til the cows come home, but each person will take from that commercial what they want. I take it to mean that we, as a gender, are too hard on ourselves when it comes to how we see ourselves. And that is true. This is the first time I've seen either the commercial or the blog so thanks for sharing. Very interesting
