| Enamel and sensitivity My teeth are very sensitive and my enamel is pretty thin. I think I read you can't rebuild enamel, once it's gone, it's gone. So I'm wondering if yall know of any vitamins, foods, etc I can use to strengthen what I have left and decrease tooth sensitivity. I brush my teeth 3 times a day, floss every day, use mouth wash...so I just want to do whatever I can to keep my teeth healthy

| There's a toothpaste called 'Enamelon' that's supposed to help. Drink any acidic drinks through a straw.

| Your right, once its gone...its gone! The best over the counter toothpaste for sensitivity is sensodyne. Your dentist can give you stronger RX strengths if that doesnt help. Best thing to do besides brushing with it is to spread a small amount on your teeth right before bedtime...dont brush off. As far as keeping them healthy...make sure you go for your cleanings every 6 months, stay away from cokes, gatorade, and sugars, acidic foods such as grapefruit, lemons, etc in large quantities. (especially NEVER eat lemons or limes!!!) Also, dont crunch ice or hard candy.... Thats some quick advice! (ps...worked in a dental office for 15 years)

| LOL Kendra I'm laughing over here because I'm guilty of every one of those things you listed to not do. Oops. I use Crest Pro health sensitive and enamel shield morning and night and the Crest 3d whitening in the middle of the day. I still can't eat anything super hot or super cold or my teeth hurt like heck. Time to switch to something stronger I guess!

| I was told over brushing could also remove enamel...so if you can help it, maybe you shouldn't brush so often.

My dentist recommended Crest Pro-health so that is what I use, too.
