| Any one done the 3 Day Susan G Walk? So the other week was an awful week, three people in my family died in the same week. One of them was my Aunt who was still very young and passed away after her breast cancer moved into her bones and their was nothing more they could do. My Mom had done the 3 day walk in San Fransisco a few years back when my Aunt first got diagnosed, she wore a pin with her picture on it. My Aunt recovered but then the cancer came back, I know through Susan G my Aunt got lots of supplies and support. Now I am thinking of doing the walk in memory of my Aunt but you have to raise 2,300 dollars and walk 60 miles. Though I may look young and fit I am not, this task seems daunting. I do really want to do this though. Does anyone have expeirence doing these walks or planning on doing it this year?

| Just last week 3 of us here in northern Minnesota were contemplating doing it. I ordered the info kit but have not gotten yet. My mother is a breast cancer survivor and has been healthy since 2005. One of my co-workers just was diagnosed 8 weeks ago. She had the lump removed and starts 12 weeks of every day radiation next week. I HOPE we will be able to follow through and participate! Ruby and Rosie each have a pink breast cancer awareness outfit. We haven't had the chance yet but at least one time id like to get them dressed up and participate in Relay for Life with me....maybe a $1 for cute puppy kisses to raise some money!!

| I don't do that walk but I walk for the leukemia society. The most I have walked though is 13 miles. Don't let the fund raising scare you. Last fall me and my husband raised $8000 just shaking a bucket at walmart, We would raise $1600 a weekend so its really not that hard and if you can get a corporate sponsor to match the money you raise its not hard at all. I enjoy doing the half marathons and have made a lot of friends

| Did you have to get walmarts permission to do that? I have a hard time asking for help, I've never done fundraising like this before

| I have not, but know several gals that have and all thought it was a great experience. many people that sign up are not in great shape and they hold practice walks, and what a great incentive to get in shape. If the walk is not for you, or you want to investigate it more, sign up to be a volunteer this way you can see first hand what it is all about.

YT 500 Club Member | I have not, but when I was in high school one of the teachers at the school did it. We use to always do a mini walk at the school to help her raise money. An befor she left we had a big "good luck" pep rally for her. I know she trained for it and was in great shape for her age. You might also want to get people who will donate to help you raise the money. |

| You call and talk to the person in charge of fundraising and schedule a time to do it. Not all of them allow it. We found it was the ones on the outskirts of the city that did allow it
