| Are your children jealous?? Are your children jealous of your Yorkie?? My Amanda [25 years old and still my baby! ] says things [in reference to Toto] in a joking manner which makes me feel that she is very serious! I don't think she realizes her tone sounds jealous and childish to her Mom who knows her so well!! Maybe I need to tell her, no matter how we spoil and dote on Toto, SHE will always be my "baby"!!?

Heheh... I think Yoda will be jealous if we have children, but of course, I was jealous of him when we first got him. He was such a Momma's boy, always attached to her for the first year or so... Then he began to accept me, I guess. :P

Hey, we're full fledged baby (Yorkie) bores! And we listened to all the cute little things they told us the grandkids were doing.....Well, it's payback! Actually, son Sam (42) is delighted we have Higgins because now he has someone who will babysit his little Princess (long haired Chihuahua) while they go on a cruise for their honeymoon....... Daughter Betsy (my 38 year old baby), is a horse lover and Great Dane breeder (also Dane Rescue Lady of Kentucky). She hasn't met Higgins yet, but ever since she rescued a Mini-Pin puppy and returned it to it's rightful owner, she has newfound love and respect for little tiny dogs. She and I trade animal stories all the time, so she's delighted I have Higgy..... Oldest son Matt (44) is so-so about Higgins. But he's the one I'm payin' back.....He really IS a baby bore! Matt was the quiet, silent type until he and Jane had two little girls, now 5 and 3. I'VE HEARD ABOUT EVERY BOWEL MOVEMENT AND EVERY CUTE SAYING AND EVERY CUTE THING THEY'VE DONE! This silent dad never shuts up about his babies! Actually, it's really cute and I really do love hearing about my darling little grandaughters. Jealous of Higgins and Pogo? I don't think so. Higgins is "OUR" baby, and we are having a ball! And while Yorkies are expensive.....we don't have to send him to Harvard, either.

Dog obedience university ain't exactly cheap, though! Or private trainers for that matter... but nonetheless, Yorkies are worth it! Every little thing we get him is worth it! Though it is sad if he doesn't like his new toy sometimes!

Higgins is a "material" Yorkie and LOVES every toy you buy him!!!! He simply can't have enough toys and plays with them for HOURS on end, or until your arm feels like it's going to fall off.....he likes to fetch 'em all......and will even toss his own toys when your arm gives out. OH TO HAVE JUST 1/10th OF HIS ENERGY!!!!

Isn't it funny how they like "big" toys? I guess it makes them feel "big" to be able to wrestle those toys where they want them. Actually, Higgins is pretty impressive -- he is soooooo athletic! And agile! And sure footed! All the things I am NOT! That is such a cute vision in my mind: little Toto and the cushions......Higgins still needs a step stool to get up on my extra high bed, but he jumps on and off Don's bed just fine thank you. He is sooooo funny....changes beds in the middle of the night.....gotta spread his love and loyalty fairly........We seldom hear him change, but he just wakes up in a different bed in the morning.

Heh, yup. Yoda will do anything for his large stuffed animals. Gets them up and down from the couch and everything. He totally fears our big round Pilates ball though. Heheheh.

I don't have kids, but sometimes I get jealous when Mike asks me to rub his feet, so I begrudgingly rub his feet, and I look up to see Mike petting Otis. So I'm rubbing Mike's feet, Mike is petting Otis....and no one is paying ME any attention!

LOL Junebug! At least Mike treats your baby as his own and doesn't neglect Otis! I think Mike should be rubbing YOUR feet while Otis licks you or something.
