So Seb has been soooo bad lately about peeing on the carpet in our apt. and just squirting it with something isn't doing the job. I want to buy a steam cleaner but, have no idea which to choose. I really don't want to spend more than 300.00. Any recommendations?? Thanks!

I have a hoover carpet cleaner I got at menards...I think it was $250. Just like this one.

I love love love it.

I also have one of those tiny green clean pet machines from bissell...was not worth the $100 I paid for it...I don't feel it suctions enough.

Rented the Rug Doctor before. They don't seem to be maintained.
We own a...I forget. Will have to look. I want to say it is a Hoover. $200 range several years ago. Love.

We just went out and got a Bissell life off pet model and OMG even though we had a Hoover before for the two years we have been in our rental home this thing has cleaned the carpets so good we used to think our carpet was green it is actually gold!!!!!!!! And it has helped with my asthma and all.... Not the cheapest but soooo worth it and you can left off the little part to take outside to do the car and all!!!

My mom, my brother and myself have that Bissell also. It's good, but not on Berber carpets, just FYI! Good for furniture too tho!

Strange we have Berber in our master bedroom that has cleaned spots out that have been there since we moved in so we have even had luck with that too.. I wonder if it brands or something.

Yea I looked at those little portable ones that are specifically for spot problems but, I wasn't too impressed..the suctioning was the first thing that came to mind..funny that u mentioned it.

I will look into the hoover one

Our berber is old and may be mashed down too much or something, but our bissell cleaner does not get close enough to the carpet to pull the water back out. It looks like it cleans the spots, but they come right back to the surface about 3 weeks later. I am cleaning the master bedroom carpet monthly now. The next project on the bucket list is to put a new floor in that room since the carpets are nasty looking now. darn dogs!!! LOL

lol well thank you! Too bad you aren't closer I would so take you up on that offer! I have a really hard time spending so much money on something that I'm not sure about! I have been researching and reading tons of reviews but, every time I feel like I've found a good one..some bad review comes along and ruins it for me. I have a few questions about yours if you don't mind..it's actually one I've been considering. Does it leave small pieces of debris behind...like hair balls or anything? Do you feel like the water compartment is big enough? How hot does it heat up the water (water faucet hot or boiling)? How about suctioning power...strong? Don't think I'm crazy lol I just like to be safe. I know you said you love it but, thought I'd ask specifics

Not sure what exactly berber carpet is but, I'm off to google it now. Hope that's not what we have here.

I will be honest and say it leaves balls BUT both me and my husband have long hair and shed like dogs and I might be wrong but I think the carpet in this rental is from when it was built in the 70's lol the water is as big as my Hoover I also have so to me it is normal size. This one you plug in and give it a little bit to heat up the water and it will suck up the carpet if it was not attached down it
