| Did you ever sell something and then wish you had it back? Before we moved to Florida a few years ago we sold some things...one of those was my set of Johnson Brothers Coaching Scenes blue and white china. It was beautiful...not expensive or antique or even a family heirloom but I really loved it...we never used it, or the sterling flatware I bought to go with it, but I enjoyed looking at it in the china cabinet. I had a service for 16 and I believe I had every piece they made from the regular dinnerware pieces to all of the extra serving pieces including the soup tureen. I also had matching teapots and coffee pots, candle sticks, soup bowls, open and lidded vegetable bowls, different sized platters and even the largest turkey platter. I used to have a picture of it all in the china cabinet but I can't find it anymore. My china went to a friend who also loved it...but she has now passed away and I believe 'my' china is with her Mom. I've let her know, via email, that if she ever decides to make a change and let go of it that I would love to have it back but, in my heart, I don't think that will ever happen. I know I loved that set but I also know my friend and her Mom did too so I don't regret that part of letting it go...but I know I would love to have another set like it to enjoy again. Maybe I'll try putting another one together someday. What have you let go that you would replace if you could? Not painful things...just things that you would enjoy having around again if you could. |

| Mine is a dorky thing...a sweater that I sold in a garage sale eons ago...it wouldn't even be in style now...and it was ugly...but I had an attachment to that sweater...I can still clearly see it and I occasionally wonder about the person who bought it...more so wonder what they saw in it and what it became...im thinking it was a cheap dusting rag or to put in the bottom of a dog bed lmbo.

| Mine was silly. When we started dating, dh bought me a necklace where he wore half of a heart and i wore the other one. It had a saying on it. We were just married when my parents who we lived with had a yard sale. I asked him which of several pieces of costume jewerly. We had been arguing and he said he did not care, get rid of any of it. So i sold the necklace (he did not wear his anymore) as soon as the person left with it, i cried my eyes out. Remember i was only 19 at the time. I still regret it.

| I really, really regret selling my old 45's vinyl record collection I started collecting them when I was 14 - and used to cut out the lyrics from song magazines and put them with the appropriate record.... Then when I was about 19 I started dating a DJ There was no sense doubling up on them, so I sold them all to a friend of his for £100, which was a LOT of money 37 years ago!!! I still regret that to this day - especially as DJ-boy and I split up about 6 months later! x |

| I have not sold many things but I tend to give stuff away and then later be sorry I did 5 years ago i had several of those large shepard hooks and got tired of watering hanging plants so i gave them to a neighbor. Now i discovered pretty hanging garden ornaments. I have hinted i want them back but she uses them to hang bird feeders on. So I wound up having to go buy more. I also sort of gave her a bunch of peach colored depression glass, but I told her that she can not give them away and if she no longer wants them to give them back to me, but her memory is going a bit so who knows if she will remember that part of the story. I gave her daughter who is also a neighbor a bunch of patio stones, she made them into a decent walkway on the side of her house so now when I go there and walk on them I am sorry I gave them away.

| speaking of records my DH had a box full of old albums and we have no record player. and most of the records he had replaced with CD's, we moved several times and are now finishing the basement I got so tired of that big heavy box being lugged around. I threw it out about two years ago. One of these days he is going to discover they are gone, and I will be like what records

I must admit, I did exactly the same with my (ex!!!) husband's newspapers....I thought they were a fire hazard..... so when we split, I threw them all out. They even covered the moon landing - he was absolutely FURIOUS.... x | |

| I wish I had my old Ranger truck that I held state titles with in stereo competitions and my 1963 Impala.
