| Ebay Wants To Start Listing Live Animals I hope everyone on YT that cares about animals will please go to the thread on the bottom of the page and let EBay know you are opposed to Ebay doing this. In print it looks like a nice caring thing they are doing for rescue but it will open one more avenue for the puppy millers. If Ebay really wants to help they could have a link to Petfinder and not charge Petfinder. Once this starts it will only lead to more pain for more animals and one more company makes $$$ off of these poor animals. Ebay needs to stay out of the animal business. Please contact Ebay and let them know your feelings on this. Live Pets Ad Format - Please Read pretz@ebay.com View Listings | Report Dec-16-05 12:37 PST Dear Pets Community Members- We are hoping to launch a Live Pets Classified Format early next year. The listings would not be transactional and there would only be a listing fee. We are also looking into allowing non-profit animal shelters to list animals for adoption for free. I would love to know what our active community members think about this new category. We are also considering Pet Services in this format as well - grooming, walking, etc.. Please feel free to reply to this thread or email me directly at pretz@ebay.com Thanks! Lori Pretzer Pet Supplies Category Manager http://forums.ebay.com/db1/thread.js...11348798\31779

| This is highly disturbing!! I just sent an email to the address listed on your thread. I appreciate you bringing this manner to our attention. We are the voices of these precious animals and must make a stand to protect them as much as we can!!

| Wow I can not belive this and it pisses me off. Especially since ebay has so many oppositions to all the things I sell(just dog clothes). You wouldnt belive how many times I have an auction ended because I was in some sort of weird violation of one of their many ridiculous rules. But now they are actually going to let people sell LIVE animals!!! It amazes me and ticks me off what ebay will and will not allow. Make sense out of that. This is cruel to the animals, god only knows what kind of homes they can end up in, not to mention shipping animals. I really hate ebay

| Well, this will be interesting to watch as Ebays original letter went out to rescue groups via email to respond to their idea. If you go to the discussion board you will see that it is about 99% against their proposal. Many people have now contacted PETA, AHS, SPCA, to name a few along with major news programs and major newspapers. This might become a nightmare for them for just asking the question. I can only hope that Ebay tucks its tail on this one and run in the opposite direction. Yes, it does help to post your thoughts.

| So now animals will go to the highest possible bidder instead of interviewing the best possible home for it? That's pretty nasty. I will definately boycott Ebay if that happens. |

| Please take some action against this I am bumping this again as I am surprised at how few people even viewed this thread. Many of you speak out on puppy mills and if Ebay goes ahead and lets ads be posted I guarantee the millers will have a field day. There is no way Ebay can check out all the rescue groups in the US and soon the millers will be saying they are rescue. If you go to the discussion boards you will see that close to 2000 people have sent them letters saying NO. The first groups they contacted were rescue groups and they are very opposed to Ebay doing this as you can see from their responses. If this is not nipped in the bud at the beginning then even more animals will suffer. Please go to Ebay and let them know your thoughts http://forums.ebay.com/db1/thread.j...0164235&start=0 and then please go to the petion site and sign the petition. http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takea...ltl=1134858895
