Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Stressed I have to say I am a little stressed out. Well maybe a lot. Some of you know I have been having a lot more problems with my health since Christmas. I went to the Doctor. Had an emergency nerve block. Went for an MRI yesterday. Now I have to go for an EMG. Electromyogram (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Studies. If anyone has had this, they know what I mean. This is the most painful thing I have gone though. . . . and I have had a needle stuck in my spine. This is going to be my fourth one. I know I have to do it to find out what is going on but I so do not want to do it. I got the call yesterday to set up the appointment. I was like I told her no your kidding. I do not want to do it! I think the woman thought I was nuts. So tomorrow afternoon I am getting it done.

| Oh, I'm sorry you have to have the testing as both are painful. Your doc can learn so much about your condition from the tests you need them. I would see if I could take a pain pill and perhaps a tranquilizer if it is that painful to you. I didn't find either to be as bad as some epidurals or facet injections I have had but they are no fun at best. I'm sure sorry you have to have either one but hopefully they can kind of "drug" you a bit and help you get through it. In the old days they just did those things to us without caring if they hurt you or not! I hope the news from the test is not overly bad and show something really very bad needing surgery. I sure will be praying for you tomorrow.

I asked if I could take something and was told no it would effect the results because you do not want the nerve numbed or anything to get the full extend of damage.

| oh my... I am so sorry and I hope it at least gives some answers for you. My dh has myeloma and has had several procedures on his back. He has been relatively pain free for awhile and I pray it stays that way. I pray for that for your too!

If your foot is dragging, oh, boy, you do need a look at what is going on! I've had foot drag before but thankfully it never lasted over 2-3 days at a time. I & the rest of us will so being praying for you and rooting for you and waiting to hear so hard that you will just have to almost feel us behind you!!!!! Hopefully they have slimmed those needles down some and decreased the depth of stick with all the new technology, etc. and it won't be so bad. I always pinch the web space between my thumb and index finger with my fingernails when something hurts at the doctor's office - to get my mind off the area they are working on. It's supposed to help severe headache pain some guy on TV said one time but I use if for any pain, like when I get a deadening shot for a filing or get a nerve block or they are having trouble starting an IV, digging around. It helps a bit - takes your mind off the other pain if you pinch hard enough!!! Sounds silly but might try it if it's going tough. Sure wish we could get you out of this somehow but as we can't, we'll be praying and thinking of you a whole lot tonight and tomorrow. Soon as you get home and can make it, let us know you've made it through and we can cheer you for being brave!

| Oh Teri, my heart breaks for you, sounds like they don't offer meds or put you to sleep, is that cause they want you to be able to answer questions about the pain. It's hard to belive that with modern tech, they have not been able to do more. I will be thinking about you and praying it is not as bad as you remember. Is John going with you, I hope you don't have to go by yourself
