Zachary's Mom Donating Member | Windows 8 Has anybody else upgraded to Windows 8 yet? If so, what do you think of it? I like it so far. It is totally different from any other Windows OS. Louise |

| I've heard so many don't like it, even kids have some problems with it, so I'm holding off a while.

Zachary's Mom Donating Member | I got it about 2 days ago. They have a deal where you can get a download now for $39.99 or on disc for $69.99. My phone is a Windows phone running Win 7 so I am used to the interface. When I first download win 8 for my PC, I thought OH MY GOODNESS. But, after playing with it all afternoon and into the evening, I pretty well figured it out. It boots faster and runs faster. If you have Win 7 you will have most of the functionality except for touch screen. My PC is a touch screen and the touch works as well as it did before installing Win 8. There IS a learning curve but if you are reasonably knowledgeable about computers, you should be able to figure it out OK. I have ALWAYS wanted the latest and greatest tech goodies so it was worth it to me to take the chance. So far, I like it a lot. Louise and Zachary |
