♥ Catherine My Love ♥ Donating Member | Anyone been on a Disney Cruise? I am taking one with my mom and kids in May 2013 and wondered if anyone had any pointers / advice. I know there will be a lot of stuff for the kids to do, but wondering about me, lol. It will be a 6 day cruise.

♥ Catherine My Love ♥ Donating Member | Thanks! We took my oldest daughter to Disney World for her 5th birthday and now my youngest is turning 5. I loved Disney World but I think it'll be too much walking for my little one - plus she is scared of rides. I figured the cruise would give her the fun and character experiences without the hassle. I hope she loves it!

| My boyfriend and I worked on cruise ships for 3 years - and while I never worked on Disney, he did for a few months. Being a minimal Disney fan, he said it was phenomenal what they did to their guests and making them feel welcomed. He would take a cruise there just for fun, so that's saying something! We do not have any kids. There are quite a few "adult only" attractions on there, so I wouldn't worry about it. If you haven't done so already, check out cruisecritic. They have a plethora of first-hand information. I worked for Celebrity and Royal Caribbean so if you need any pointers there, you can let me know

We do not have any kids. OMG!!! You had MY dream job!!! I always thought being a nurse on a cruise ship would be the absolute best job in the world for a single girl!!! I wanted to do that soooo badly....but I have HORRIBLE issues with motion sickness!!! My family did go on "The Big Red Boat" Disney cruise to the Bahamas years ago....we had an absolute BLAST!!! There is a book you can get that tells you all about the cruise, what to do and how to do it...things to see on board as well as in the Bahamas.....I dont remember the name of the book, but I am sure you could Google it...seems it was put out by Disney....about two inches thick! |

| I am super jealous!!! Me and my friends want to go on a Disney cruise sooooo bad and only one of us has a child lol when we were in the Bahamas in Sept a Disney ship was next to ours at the port and we kept making jokes about wonder if we could sneak on lol For some reason all 3 cruises we did this year were on Carnival ships and we already have another paid for in March of 2013.

| It was an amazing experience! Chad and I actually met on a Royal Caribbean ship - I'm from CA and he was originally from KY and then Savannah, GA. So we would never have met otherwise I highly recommend it to (almost) everyone, especially if you don't know what you want to do for the rest of your life. It's a very different life but a wonderful experience in life and the world. You meet so many interesting people and get to travel while having a blast!
