| Sick!!! Ive been battling allergies this spring/summer/fall like Ive never had them before. Recently they have been horrible. To the point that I had so much fluid/gunk in my head that I was getting an ear infection. I battled that for about 2 weeks and finally woke up the other morning feeling horrible all around. I went to work and about 11am said thats it, I'm going to the walk in urgent care. I thought I would be diagnosed with a sinus infection and ear infection. I was actually diagnosed with bronchitis, asthma exacerbation, wheezing, early sinus infection, ear infection and upper respiratory infection!!! YIKES! I knew I was sick, but not THAT sick!!!! So get this... no meds! They no longer give antibiotics for viral infections. I was told to take sudafed, steam showers, hot tea, lots of fluids and vitamin C. Thats about all they would do for me. I got antibiotic drops for my ear infection bc that was bacterial. Apparently this is a major concern in the world now, antibiotic immunity. Geezzz it's been a rough week!

I just went to my Dr today and was diagnosed with a similar diagnosis. My dr prescribed me Ciprofloxacin.

| I've never understood why Drs prescribe antibiotics for colds and other viral infections anyway. However, bronchitis can be bacterial. And if so, it's also contagious.

| I feel your pain. I have never in my life had just a cold or just an allergy attack without it turning into something more serious requiring antibiotics. I have found a miracle for myself anyway & since, I have not had to go to the Dr for antibiotics, it's Mucinex- Fast Max- Severe Congestion & cough. It has a cough suppressant, expectorant & decongestant so it controls my coughing but gets all the crud out of my bronchioles & chest & gets the gunk out of my sinuses & eustachian tubes & it works fantastic, good by bronchitis & ear infections. |

| Gosh, that sounds miserable! I'll bet you have been going downhill slowly and just pushing to keep going until the weekend and finally couldn't push anymore. Hope you can take this weekend off with no chores or tasks to do and just get better, rest your body, treat yourself with some TLC.

| Gosh I am sorry you feel so miserable. I have been sick for about two weeks also, same thing ear infection, sore throat, cough and sinus issues (nothing in my chest) and also no appetite at at all. This has been going around and it really hard to kick (so says my doctor). I also got the drops for an ear infection and was told lots of rest, fluids and a decongestant. I started feeling better a few days ago, get your rest and hope you feel better soon.
