| Warning about traveling...Just to be safe To all my YT friends as you all know, it appears that the uprising against the US in the mid east/asia etc, is spreading like wildfire. Now is the time to be extra vigilant regarding traveling. Be sure to check flights etc. I am from a military family, live in a border city and the DOJ, including ICE and the FBI are stepping up security around here. I am not trying to alarm anyone, I am just stating out of genuine concern to be vigilant and plan ahead...we don't know how this is going to progress and what security measures may have to be taken. My understanding is that there is always a possibility, atleast here, that some borders can/may be shut down if things get out of hand. Now let me stress nothing has been issued regarding this but it is obvious here in NY that safety procedures and measures are underway...so. If you are going to be out of the US (especially in the hotspots)and borders are closed, however remote this may be...you want to have enough $$ to hold you over till you can re-enter....Again, this is not to alarm, I trust the security of the USA enough to say that I'm sure we are being protected; however, I also had many friends stranded in Canada during 9/11.... Also, my daughter is overseas...keep her in thoughts and prayers...I am in worried mode...

| I sit here watching UT evacuated following a bomb threat. I fear it will take a mass disaster like this, to actually play out, with mass casualities, that will give the vital importance of securing the borders a whole new meaning....and it will perhaps be seen as a genuine concern about terrorists simply walking across the border, un hindered, rather than strictly a subversive attempt to keep "day workers" out! It is sooooo much larger than that! As far as what is going on in the Arab countries.......I grew up in all those areas, Kuwait specifically, as my father was in charge of Getty Oil Company's Middle East operations. Back in the 50's and 60's, an American Embassy was sacred ground in any foreign country....NO ONE DARED TO THREATEN AN AMERICAN EMBASSY or tresspass on American Embassy property, or GOD FORBID, DESECRATE THE AMERICAN FLAG. That is clearly no longer the case. We were always told if anything goes wrong in the country, get to the American embassy....YOU WILL BE SAFE THERE! How tragic for the Ambassador and the men that were sacrificed with him. I agree with lynzy, please travel with caution.....to see this current atmosphere in that area, as anything but smoldering dynamite sitting under a keg of gun powder, is to take a relaxing trip down DENIAL. Be cautious and vigilent and prayerful. |

| Also be careful going to big crowd events. It is scary that one group of people hates us so much that if they had there way they would bomb us off the map but thats how people in Israel live too and they are right there in the middle of all of it
