| I love NYC. Its soooo full of life! There is always a million things to do at all hours of the days & nights. Someday I'd like to live there for awhile. I also love Waikiki Beach, HI. When I went there many years ago I felt like I was home, comfortable, familiar... it just felt right. I love to visit, but I don't want to live there all the time bc I like being able to get into the car and drive to another state, visit somewhere else, but Oahu is only 26 miles.... you can cover that in 1 hour! LOL

| I'm with Ann and could name so many places. It's hard to choose just one or even a couple. I love Chicago for the skyline, the food, the excitement. It is a big city with a unique sense of smaller town intimacy. All of my favorite places have either great architecture, history, or natural scenery.

I'm really not much of a big city person; I get kinda claustrophobic in tight crowds sometimes.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I know this is one of my older threads but... We took my mom on a motorcycle cruise down to KW several years ago & she had a ball. It's funny in a way that she's now hooked on Everglades Hostel; so much that she and her male companion are planning their FOURTH trip down there this coming weekend!! I've been invited to go too but my finances just won't allow a splurge right now. Aw well, they will have a great time I'm sure Share your favorite "get away" or side trips with me? I love hearing about quirky places especially.

| Mountains, cool air and little mountain villages. Cabins with crackling fireplaces. Snow! Hot tropic nights, cool ocean breezes and miles of beach sand under palm trees with the moon peeking through. The sound of waves crashing onshore. Sun!

| Yosemite is my #1 (^ not my video, but an amazing hike, and a little scary at that spot from the 1:15 mark of the video since you have 4500 feet of open air on your right hand side and about 1000 on the left. The view from the summit is the most beautiful view I have seen in my life) New Zealand's South Island is a close second though.

| New Zealand's South Island is a close second though, for the glaciers, rainforest, little blue penguins, keas, waterfalls, fjords, and views of the Magellanic Clouds, Crux, Rigil Kent, and a lot of other things you can't see in the night sky in the northern hemisphere. Little Blue Penguins keas Also, my favorite animal from Yosemite (have to hike above 10,000 feet to see them though) They're so fast in person. And so tiny.
