| gonna kill hubby I get sick if i get too hot, so i stay in a lot with a/c. I have hot flashes and can not tolerate the heat very well due to fibro. I also do not notice things a lot. My desk is right above the ac vent. I started getting dripping sweat. Ceiling fan was on high. Figured my hot flashes or fibro. Went to take a shower as leaving when dh gets home for the store. I take hot showers and when i got out i noticed ac not blowing as usual i am thinking nooooo, not the ac going out. I looked and dh had turned off the ac for his shower this morning and forgot to turn it back on!! It was 81 in here. may not be hot for some, but we usually keep it at 67 or 68. i am aggravated, but how can i get very mad with the fibro fogs i get?

| Our DH's must be related! By 10 AM I'm sweating bullets thinking I'm flashing, then I go get a drink and see the A/C is OFF! GRRRRR! So then I give him the lecture on how much more it costs to cool down a room that's already hot! He's been remembering lately.... so old dogs can learn!

| Dh is really good about watching out for me, so i know he just forgot. I forget a lot with the fibro and more after the strokes. So it is hard to fuss at him, but i will! i figure i can get something out of it!

| I get furious when mine touches the AC temp control. I get really mean when I'm hot. I think they have finally learned to leave it alone. Soooooo I totally understand and say tell him about girl!

| I seriously thought my dh was the only one that did this. Now, I think it must be in their gender. It is so frustrating, but they just don't understand hot flashes.

| my DH is the worst of them all, this happens more in the winner he cranks the furnace up to about to about 80 while he sits on the leather couch in short sleeves with a beer in his hand, I am in the kitchen standing by the hot oven and stove top cooking dinner and I will say wheew it's freaking hot in here and then go to open a window by me or turn the furnace down and he says (loud and sarcastic) if you weren't overweight you would not feel so hot. This fight occurs about 3x's a week almost every month in the winter. I finally bought a small high powered fan that sits on the counter on top of the oven. I know some would say that I should stop cooking dinner, but he works around 60 hours a week and does all the big projects around the house while work from home sort of part time and have a cleaning lady so I feel cooking about 4 x a week and doing the laundry is a good trade off, but I stiff feel like wacking him over the head with a pot each time I cook.

| I am the one with the hot flashes,I am the one that feels like I am going to explode internally. Everyone else leaves the A/C or heat alone. The rules are "if you are hot, take some clothes off" "if you are cold put some clothes on" , "if you touch the thermostat I will end your life". Just simple rules to live by. "If mamma aint happy then noone is gonna be happy" or as my hubby says "happy life, happy wife". |
