| Feeling a little sad today My last of 4 is off to high school . I am nervous, happy, and a little sad too. How could my baby be in high school??? I drove him to the bus stop this morning because it was raining. After he got on the bus I just sat there for a little....I remember sending him in the door of pre school, sitting in the parking lot crying and calling my dad to tell him I was sad. My dad passed away 5 years ago and now I have no one to call. I really needed to hear his voice today to tell me its ok and my little guy is growing up. Also today is my oldest birthday today. He is 23 this is also hard to believe!!! What is happening?????

| My son is almost 5 and going into his last year of prek I already know I will be a mess when he is off to high school. My husband predicts tears at the beginning of every school year..... He knows me well lol

Over here, it's Nursery School pre 5, and the parents are allowed to stay for a while, to get their children settled.... I had to be ASKED TO LEAVE... I had sat there for a whole 6 months (obviously only for a few hours a week!), and someone thought I was a MEMBER OF STAFF...!!!! That was 25 years ago, though.... x | |

Isaiah started preschool when he was 2 1/2 and it was so hard for me. I work from home 3 days a week and on those days I volunteer for a couple of hours. People probably think my husband and I are crazy because we both go on field trips LOL. Thursday is the day we take him to meet his teacher and we have an hour orientation with the Director while his teacher and assistant take the kids on a classroom scavenger hunt I can only imagine when the day comes that he starts high school LOL

| I know you will enjoy the high school years with him. Especially it being the last one. I so enjoyed those years with mine. I was fine emotionally with all stages of growth, that is, until I moved my first to college. I wasn't prepared for those emotions. Two years later we moved my youngest to college and not only do you have the emotions of them leaving, but then you have to go home to an empty house and the WHOLE routine you had been used to for so many years is just over. And if you're in any kind of a relationship you discover that person is living there.

| Well he made it! Boys are so different than girls. When my daughters would come home they would go through their day period by period and tell me what happened in each class. With him holy smokes it was pulling teeth to get him to tell me more than 5 second of his day. Then he went to sleep he is NOT used to waking up at 5:30am. School for him starts at 7:20am. He's a tired boy. If I had just one wish I would wish my kids would stay small. I am secretly happy that my older 3 chose to go to college close to home. My oldest son, 23 today, is a permanent substitute teacher in a nearby school district. So I'm happy they are all here with me. Don't know what the future holds but for now all my babies are home. I'm a little pissed off that my friend, my oldest sons godmother, didn't even text my son and wish him a happy birthday nor did she even text me and ask how my sons first day of high school went. Oh well don't need her!
