Donating YT 14K Club Member | Guys have it so easy! I guess that I just need to vent a little cause I'm so tired from being up all night feeding babies. Why is it that guys have it so easy? They don't have to deal with being pregnant, child birth, eclampsia, nursing puppies, c-sections...NONE OF IT! It's times like these that I wish I were a man. Men seem to have it so easy. Poor Gracie can't be the momma she was meant to be. I have to keep her wrapped up so that the pups can't nurse off of her. I had another scare last night but I think it was me over reacting. I thought she was starting to have another attack and gave her the Calsorb. After watching her for a while, I realized that nothing was happening and today, she's just fine. Some time last night, I woke up too hot. I slept with my daughter so that I wouldn't disturb the men of the house when I had to get up and feed the babies. Anyway, I woke up because I was hot so I stood on the bed to close the vent. I got very light headed and dizzy, my vision was messed up and I knew that I was fixin to pass out so I tried to get back down. Landed on my daughter and slammed my head against the wall. Now, I have a head ache and a crick in my neck...all because I didn't want to disturb the men of the house. Oh well, thanks for listening...I'm just exhausted, I guess, and to think, I have about 3 1/2 more weeks of this.

| Geez Kim, are you okay? Poor thing, it sounds like you're stress about Gracie is causing you to have a tough time over there. Isn't it ironic though, that you purposely sleep with your daughter so you don't wake the others up, and bam, you fall and hit your head, which I'm sure your hubby heard. Take care of yourself too I agree, men have it way too easy!

But he doesn't need an alarm clock to get up for work? Go figure!! After you get some rest, Kim, I'm sure you'll feel better. Just remember, your husband did tell you about Gracie... I'm not so sure mine would notice!! I'm glad to hear Gracie is feeling better! Big 'ol Texas-sized cyber hugs to you for keeping it all together! I'm sure ALL of them would be lost without you!!

| You have been through so much these past days. You are exhausted, sad, overwhelmed, happy, worried, anxious, angry, etc. These emotions are probably taking it's toll in your heart. It's ok and i hope things get better in time. You have given so much of yourself to Gracie and her babies and you are probably finding someone closest to you to take it out on, that being your hubby. Just go give him a hug and say "I'm tired, can you please help me before I go insane?". I'm guessing he will be more than happy to help you.

Or even better wouldn't life be grand without him!! I wonder how I eve spent 20+ years with him??!!?? I hope you feel better real soon. Will Gracie be able to nurse her pups at all, or is it over? I hope things get better for you.

| I think everybody needs to vent once in a while. I, for one, am glad YT is here just for that, if nothing else! But remember as Sheri Lynn said, your hubby did tell you when Gracie was sick, and I'd be willing to bet the biggest percentage of them wouldn't even notice. So he gets good marks for that, anyway. Hope your head feels better. I'm sure when the puppies are older and you are able to get more rest things will look rosier to you. But until then, just come here and vent any old time. We are here for you! And PM me any time, if you want to say things that shouldn't be said in an open forum lol. I'm an old lady and have heard it all (and probably said it too) and I have always thought I was a good listener, so vent away!! |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Quit whining and go fix your man supper. JUST KIDDING! I thought this was the man thread. You're right. We do have it easy, and it's women like you who make it that way. So speaking on behalf of my gender, THANK YOU! Now go make him fix you a candlelight dinner with wine followed by a massage.

| sorry to hear about that. the things we women do for the sake of others. bunjee whimpers in the middle of the night and i'm the one who jumps and gets up to let him out of the crate, or i just a nudge from hubby going, 'can you shut the dog up, i'm trying to sleep...' on the other hand, we do get to wear cooler outfits and we don't look as silly carrying our little yorkies in a clutch purse. |
