| iPhone Battery Life? So my iPhone is relatively new 3-4 months old. How long does your battery last? I fully charged mine last night, have not used it this morning for anything and it's already 3/4 drained. I clear my history often. Is this normal, or am I doing something wrong? Is something running in the background I need to turn off?

| After I charged mine fully for the first time, I let it run down to next to nothing, then recharged again and it seems to be better. You also have to remember to close out any apps that you used, because if those are left there, they continue to drain the battery life. I don't think the battery life is as efficient as it could be . . .

| Hmmm... weird. Some times if I'm not barely doing anything on it, mine will last for 2-3 days without being charged (that's with no playing games, no surfing the web, and maybe a few phone calls). I don't charge mine all night though. I always heard that letting your phone stay plugged in for a long time, after it's at 100%, drains out the battery. Not sure how true it is. But I've always done this with my computers and phones whenever possible: I use it until it's almost dead, then I charge it until it's at 100%, and right when it gets to 100%, I unplug and repeat (let it get almost dead before re-plugging it back in). But yeah you may have a bad battery. Do you x out of all the apps? When you kind of double click on the main button on the iPhone, a scrolly thing comes up on the bottom w/ all your apps that are open, and you should hit the red "-" button and delete them from there so they close.

| My daughter was also telling me not to leave it charging all night long because she heard the same thing. I do x out of all my apps regularly. I don't use mine as much as my kids do and it used to last 2-3 days but now I can barely get through the day. Hmmmm

| I'm not sure how the Iphone works but I have a smart phone and had to download something to make sure that any apps were closed down in the background. This helped me in getting more time on the battery life. What I downloaded is Lookout. I was also turning the bluetooth on and off when I was not in the car but I've been leaving it on because I was forgetting to turn it back on in the car. lol

Thor's Human Donating Member | What are your email settings? If you have your email set to frequently poll / pull from your server, your battery will drain really fast. You should set it so that it only updates when you check your email (though that means you won't get alerted when new emails come in).

I charge mine every night when I go to bed, and leave it plugged in until about 10am, while I'm doing my morning stuff around the house. I can usually get from 9-10 am until 10pm, but I don't run my GPS for many things, I also turn bluetooth off. I do have my emails pulling every 15 minutes, but I make sure all the other energy savers are on. Also check it may have the "personal hot spot" on too, that drains data, and battery.

| the most draining is the running apps. click your home button twice, frequently it will show what programs are running, hold one down until they shake. and click on them to stop them from running. I do this evry couple hours out of habit now! Also turn off all your notifications except for calls and messages. You don't need all these programs running you can just click on them when you want. It is very important to turn off the stockmarket ticker and the weathr browser, because unless you turn them off they are constantly running in the background. also, delete messages etc., often. I guarantee once you do that it will last all day.

| I charge mine at night while I am sleeping and it has been known to go up to 3 or 4 days with out me needing to charge it again. I am not a big on talking but i text a lot, use apps a lot, and listen to music on it a lot.

| My drains quickly if I have the wifi search on all the time. Also, if I am constantly on it checking e-mail, etc. I do charge for about an hour each morning. Hope you get things figured out.
