♥ Catherine My Love ♥ Donating Member | Been away for a while... Some of you may have wondered what the heck happened to me over the past year or so. I have been a ghost around here. I have been very ill. I won't go into the details, but after over a year of trying to figure out what is wrong with me and how to treat it, I have recently been diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder called Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension. My parents have been a huge help in keeping Yorkie Splash and Shine going while I have been down, and they will continue to be. I am certainly not better yet. I'm in the early stages of getting medical help now that we know what it is. Unfortunately, the condition is very rare and there isn't a lot of good info on the best avenues for treatment, etc - it's mostly trial and error until we figure out what works best for me. So, just wanted everyone to know. I don't want anyone to think I "left" or anything like that. Most days just getting out of bed is barely tolerable, so YT is one of those things my brain generally won't let me focus on. Today has been one of those rare good days, so I'm finally posting. You are all in my thoughts! As soon as I am better, I am jumping in the very next GE!

| Oh, it is good to read a post from you again. What a horrible time you have had, girl. You have really been through it & still going through, it sounds like. I just hope & pray that a good treatment plan can be devised for you that will help you really deal with this to the point that you can function at near-normal levels before long. Keep your hopes up & stay in touch as you can. Thank God for your parents, your loving dog & your doctors. God bless you, dear. We're here for you. ♥♥♥

| I've been thinking about you. So glad you came on and posted an update for us. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I don't have any idea what your diagnosis is, but I would think just having it diagnosed brings some kind of relief apart from the pain. I hope you get some medication firgured out soon so we can see you back here posting more. Hugs!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | What a long time to wait for a diagnosis, gosh that must've been painful. And scary too . I'm glad you now have a diagnosis, and hope they can find ways to help you manage the symptoms. Are you having any relief yet? You'll be in my thoughts. It's great to see you here, I had wondered where you were .
