Donating YT 1000 Club Member | A favor So, my husband's aunt has a shi*zu & he's actually put in an order from me for a bandanna for her. The thing is, we don't know her neck size. Could some of you with other furkids tell me what kind of dog, your dogs weight & the necksize? She's about 25 lbs he thinks.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Great idea Lisa! Thanks. Guess it'd be a good idea for me to pay closer attention; I thought her other dog(s) were bigger

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Thanks. Are shih tzus like yorkies when it comes to sizes? I go crazy sometimes making dresses & vests because I just can't understand how much difference there can be in sizes compared to one of the same weight.

| My mom has two shih-tzus and they are on the smaller side at 11 and 13 pounds. 25 pounds is a rather large shih-tzu however... I guess it would be better to be too big than too small, right?

| shes a med...both my yorkies are xs so i have to convert the patterns when changing pups if i dont have a pattern in that size. but i believe the run the same size wise..... if you put all the patterns say for a top together you can see how the size variations change it is usually 2 to 4 inches that need to be added around the complete pattern to upsize it. at least this is how i do it if that makes any sense. i did this with a pattern i had all sizes in xxs to large and that is the only way i could figure out how to make a pattern bigger or smaller for a pattern that i only had in a med and wanted to make an xs.
