Finally Whew! Hello all my YT Friends.. yes I am Finally Back.. After being in the hospital for 11 days (which was only suppose to be 2-3). I had some complications from the back surgery but after finally get the right stuff in me I pulled thru. I had a L-2 thru 4 laminectomy plus lots of stenosis cleaned out, arthritis.. spurs..you name it.. I still have a 12 inch incision an is still draining. I am still going.. The 2nd days of surgery they had to take the drain out of my surgery site because it was draining some of my spinal fluid out.. which gives you a tremendous headache.Spinal headaches is the worst headaches you can have.. worse than migranes. It took 8 days in total darkness and quiet.. and pain shots to keep me thru it.. They took cat scans cause I can't have MRI's because of all the metal in me.. anyway they said there was an accumalation of fluid on the bottom of my spine.. so they drained it and still had the headache.. finally one early morning around 3 in morning .. I tried to roll over ..which is very hard I felt something pop and I thought I Had wet myself. .I immediately called the nurse.. she came in and she was alarmed at all the fluid that was in the bed and all over me.. she called the doctor and the Neuro specialist there came right away and looked it over and said it was just a pocket of fluid that accumalated and my headache should subside soon.. Hallelujah! Got a pain shot.. clean up and the next morning I woke up and the head ache was gone.. just a dull ache was there and my eyes were still a little sensitive.. but Thank The Good Lord I Could at least have family to visit an eat.. they were pushing caffeine down me like crazy.. I got to come home two days later.. I still am so sore and hurting but doing better. They said its going to take a while and I have to watch for infection.. but I think I will make it. I want to thank all of you on here for the well wishes and the prayers. My wonderful husband is so sweet caring and loving in taking care of me. I found out he is a good cook also! thanks so much.. My furbabies were so happy to see me and won't let me out of their site now.. again. thanks to all! Hey Mike.. still on drugs.. so I can still do the caption contest! __________________ The eyes are the windows to the soul.
