| Zumba!!! For my birthday, I'm treating myself to working out (I know, such a treat!) Anywho, I'm going tonight for my first Zumba class! And I'm completely nervous. My best friend is going with me, but I'm still stomach upset, nervous. I've danced for 14 years, but what if I move like a complete robot now? Anywho, I was just wondering if any of your lovely YT women do Zumba. Is it fun? How many times do you do it? This is how terrible I am. I actually have to go to the store to get workout shorts and a sports bra. Gotta love the marriagae 15 that you gain!

| Don't be so nervous, you'll have a blast! It is so much fun. I've gone to one class, and I wish I could afford more. I do have the Zumba DVDs to do at home. It made financial sense but it's not as fun as going out and getting jiggy with your friends.

| You will have so much fun! I used to do Zumba several times a week - I've tapered off due to laziness, but still go maybe once every two weeks or so. I also really loved cardio hip hop classes. I have zero dance skills and I still think the classes are fun.

| Oh my goodness! The first 15 minutes I was like "crap I'm not going to make it!!" But, if I quit in front of everyone, my pride would have eaten at me! Loved it so much that I got a punch card. Can't wait to go again Thursday!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I go to 3 classes a week. I have been going for 3 years! I love it. The classes have become so popular you have to line up 30 minutes before the class to get in now. I have no rhythm and never could dance but I have fun anyway.

| i love Zumba. it's like my most favorite thing. it's not about being embarassed or doing it right. it's about keep moving, shake it, have a blast, and let it all go, it's supposed to be relaxing not stressful. so don't think about it, just shake it and have a blast. your body is sexy no matter what shape it's in and sweat and dance....i hope you love it. |

I was thinking about getting it for our Wii, but my concern is I know at the 10 minute mark when I really want to just sit down, that'll I'll do it. Where as in the class, I had way too much pride to just sit down in front of everyone like a big failure. But it was amazing to see so much confidence out of everyone. I loved that no one cared what size they were, how much or little they could shake it. They were just having a ball and working out to sexy latin music. I just have to get over my fear of watching myself in the mirror

| I agree. I think we do need one. This forum has been so helpful in so many ways. And I think it'd be great encouragement beyond fur babies.

| There is the skinny yorkie mommies club. (or something like that) I've been bad about checking in, motivating others, and just exercising in general. It did however help me stay motivated when I lost those 30 pounds last summer. and they're staying off too.
