Does it matter if I am working on a OSX and have OS 9. I think that's whats going on. It says something crazy in computer language and I just don't exacly know what it means. I have Photoshop 7.0 and then I have the new upgrade 9.0 but I can't do anything with that because it can't find the original on my computer!!! Arggg! Help me please. I want this program so bad! Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Good luck - the only other thing I can think of is to do a SEARCH on your computer and type in the file name ...find the program and uninstall it - then RE-install it - but I know Mac's are alot different so I can't help you that way - but I hope you can figure it out |

| generally if a program kicks my butt, I send an email to the software company and ask them. I usually get a quick response and they will tell you exactly what to do. A mac I know nothing about. sorry.

| Urgh! Story of my life!! I'm pretty computer savvy on a PC, and my fiance talked me into getting a Mac a few years ago. It's SO frustrating!! I'm on a PC all day at work and then I go home and am clueless!! Good luck!

| Lol...I live on Adobe programs, and a Mac... I hope that I can help... I am in graphic design, and I feel your pain. I went through the same problematic switch from a PC. Look on the box of the Photoshop software (or online) and it will tell you what minimum operating system that it needs. It can work on a lesser one than it needs (to a certain point) but not necessarily a higher one. Also, you have to have Photoshop for Macs and not windows. To find the original program, you should be able to find it in the Finder or go to the Macintosh HD icon, and go to applications, and then it should be listed there. If it isn’t, and it is on your computer, the Finder will locate it. Hope this helps! If I can help with more, feel free to ask. |

I Love Thor Donating Member | OKay guys, wow thanks for all the advise and offers to help the clueless! It is deff a mac compatible program. Let's see, I am working on a OS X. I looked for the original Photoshop 7.o (that someone burned for me on a disk) on the computer and I can't find it. HUmm could this be my problem? So I thought I loaded it on here. When the disk is in the drive I can work on Photoshop. However I have no clue if it is working properly because I have never worked on Photoshop before. All I want to do is make avatars!!! So am I at a loss here. Maybe I should just go pay $100 an stick the program on my pc. Any help IS greatly appreciated! It's a new day, and I'll try again! Thanks all you Mac-intelligent-people!!! |
