| Flying..... I should have mentioned this on the other thread about shipping puppies. My girlfriend lives in the Seattle area and is active with the Daschund Rescue Program. Whenever she is planning to fly to Spokane, Portland, or anywhere ..she calls the Rescue Program a couple of weeks before and asks if they have any daschunds going to new homes that they want to send with her. She has taken rescued daschunds with her on about 4 flights now...and, of course, they ride with her, not in the cargo section. The rescue program pays their fare, and she babysits them all the way and places them in the hands of their new owners. She just loves doing this. She said that she would never dream of flying (or even driving on a trip) without checking with the Rescue Program to see if they have daschund that needs a ride. So - sometimes an arrangement like this can help a little guy get to where he needs to go, and help him travel more comfortably. I know that most times, something like this just can't be worked out. But, maybe occasionally............ Carol Jean |
