| Unbeleivable! Public announcement: if you run out of gas, use your cell phone and call for help...call 9-1-1 even-I'm sure you'll get some kind of help! Do NOT take your 4 year old and leave your sleeping 2 year old on the side of the road in an unlocked vehicle.... Personally: We live in a nice little subdivision, on a culdesac no less, my children don't play in the front yard unattended, we have a fully fences back yard with the gates pad locked for that, if they go ride their bikes play on the basketball hoop in the front yard, I take my lazy bottom out there. When baby was born I anticipated being called away, we have a relatively inexpensive but very capable security system with cameras DVR & monitor Things happen-you decide what you do about it though. My mom let my 12 year old take my 6 year old to the park alone with their 7 year old cousin unsupervised...she was busy watching my 6 months old while I was at an appointment for 1 hour. My mom is no longer ever allowed to watch them under such circumstances-it only takes once.

| WTH....I couldn't believe this story! What goes through folks mind to decide this would be ok to do? I mean it's a toddler that's at risk! I bet she took her purse with her!

| I can see like you are at the pump you leave your kid in the vehicle, of course you lock it and keep your eye on it at all times, and run in and pay inside-if you cannot pay at the pump. She couldn't carry both of them-yeah right-a real mother would have crawled out of a car accident with two broken legs and carried both her children to get help 2 miles away... Or had a stroller, a carrier both in the vehicle, or at least woken them up alternated carrying them. I'm not sure he was ever in the car. I don't know how the father can appear so calm right now.

| Yes that's -the story and him. I thought I'd spare the exact details if you knew you'd know if you didn't ou just might not want to. I don't know why but once I see the child's pic I become enraged, overwhelmed with sadness and a sense of panic and urgency to find the child and protect them right away. Until i see their pic it just seems another horrible news feed detached from reality by my disbelief.

| He is two years old, he did not just get out of the vehicle on his own. There is a reason the police dogs cannot detect his scent trail around the vehicle or into the near by woods, either he was taken or he simply was never in the vehicle, as the mother states.

| I dont believe it for a minute. In the past the mother had dreams of strangling the children and told the dad about it. Also the dad has beaten one of them so they are both unfit to care for children but I do believe mom has done something to this boy,

| I saw that and my heart sank. At least if he'd been kidnapped there was a chance of finding him alive.
