| Stress Relievers I need some advice on things I can do to calm down, relax, relieve stress, and start to lower my anxiety. I've thought of yoga (just can't find a time that works) Massage when I can afford it. Pedicures are relaxing but i only do them once a month any other ideas besides a piping hot bath and a glass of moscato wine?? gosh i miss my stress relief in a good ol bottle of wine. |

| Lavender comes to mind. I used to have a spray bottle of it that I'd spray on my pillow. And maybe a low heat heating pad to help you relax in the evening. I was a hot bath girl, completely drained the hot water heater every night by filling & refilling the tub 2-3 times.

| I like to light a lot of candles in the house and light the house w candlelight. A couple of candles that smell like Fall scents helps. (A glass of wine helps w this too, but not recommended for you, mommy.)

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Rachel - my fave, easy thing is meditations on my ipod - LOVE them! I have about 30, but have faves for sure. They are guided meditations, or sleep meditations, or breathing...just all around relaxing. This is really good for the brain too, bc it helps the brain's pathways stay familiar w/ how to get quiet, rather than using the pathways-more-traveled, like the stress pathway. You can get meditations online, or at itunes, or get CDs and then transfer them over.

| Even if you can't find time for a full yoga class, you can still practice their breathing techniques. If I'm in a stressful moment I stop and take a few breaths (sorry can't remember the sanscript word) really deep ones and put your hand on your tummy and feel it rise and fall. I find if you take a moment to constrict your throat and do the really deep breathing exercising it's calming... I sometimes do this when I can't sleep in bed, I lay in reclined cobbler's pose (my favorite) and just breath.

| I downloaded some soft music onto my phone, ran a warm bath, and took candles into the bathroom the other evening after a looooong and stressful week. It felt so nice. What made it even better, he started kicking and making wee little ripples in the water. It made me rethink what was really important and all my worries went down the drain with the water once I finished. |

| Why are you so stressed??? Maybe try to take things as they come and realize you are only 1 person and some stuff will have to wait. Life is too short. Enjoy what you have right now you can never get these times back.
