| Question for those of you who sew.... Can you use pinking shears to cut fleece? Also, if you use pinking shears to cut flannel will it fray? Thanks!

| I think fleece is OK to cut with pinking shears, but flannel probably will ravel, especially when washed. Fleece is pretty forgiving, over all, but does have the tendency to roll up if you don't hem it. |

| I think it depends on the manufacturer, some will fray faster than others. I know the no-sew fleece doesn't fray or curl up after laundering. Best thing would be to cut a scrap and wash it to see how it reacts. If it frays too much with pinking, you may want to run a zigzag stitch on the seams before contruction, or there's a product called 'fray-stop' (I think) that can be applied to the raw edges. I thought pinking was done to slow down the fraying process...IDK. (I'm still wearing flannel and fleece jammies that I've had and laundered for years, Lol!)

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | I was thinking flannel would fray, but I'm not the best person to ask. I know it's weird but my sewing machine rarely touches fabric. I sew a lot on paper. I am a paper crafter (scrapbooking, card making, etc) and I love to use my machine to add texture on my projects. LOL.
