| I'll be alone on Thanksgiving I was supposed to go with my family out of town to have Thanksgiving with relatives. We were going to be there for a week and planned all kinds of things to do, prepaid them too. My lupus is acting up and told them to go without me. This is my first Thanksgiving alone. I don't know what I'll do. They left early this morning, and I'm so bummed out. I have been painting, sketching, and crocheting, but at least I have my pups. I am so grateful for having such loving little buddies. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and don't eat too much!! |

| oh dear... Sorry you are not feeling well!! Hope you feel better soon! Make yourself a little Thanksgiving feast for you and your furbabies tomorrow, and light candles, put on some cheerful music, and have a little party! Call everyone you know, and wish them Happy Turkey Day! Talking with a friendly voice will help those doldrums go right away! I hope you find some enjoyment in your day tomorrow, and trust me, as long as you are online with US, you know you are NOT alone!! HUGS!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Oh I'm sorry to hear that ! I don't spend mine alone.... but do go to all my family dinners alone now ....my husband stays home by hiimself with the girls as he is too ill to be out....but I always feel bad leaving him... I do his holidays the day before, so he can have what we have on the real day...but it's not the same is it ? Maybe you can have a private one when they get back ? I know sometimes the holidays can just overwhelm us when we are around poeple who seem to have great health and happy lives - just remember ...you have US to talk to and your family will miss you....I hope you feel better and Happy Thanksgiving to you - You can hang out with those of us that will probably be here that day...I know I'll be checking in |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Oh no! I've spent Thanksgiving alone before and it really wasn't all that bad. Got to do what I wanted to do and had the tv all to myself. Hope that you get to feeling better.

| Oh, I'm sorry. It must have been hard watching your family leave without you. Take care of yourself though. This is a good time to pamper yourself and do those little things that you ordinarily don't do for yourself. Lean back and cuddle with the babies, too.

| I'm sorry to hear that waistfull. I believe there will still be some activity around YorkieTalk, so at least you can have some "YT company" to keep you company tomorrow, if that is appealing at all to you... Immerse yourself by watching the Thanksgiving Day parade, football, or movies and the day will pass in no time! |

| I am sorry you will be alone on Thanksgiving. I wont be alone but it will be just me,My husband and My daughter. My Son is going to his Dads this year and the rest of our family goes to other places. I watch the parade. There also a dog show on right after the parade this year.

| Waistfull, I work for a company that has transferred me over 10 times in 15 years and have never married so I spend most of my holidays by myself. At first I had trouble with the Holidays but now I really enjoy myself those days. They are my totally self indulgent days. I do everything I want to do those days that I normally wouldn't do. 1. I don't make my bed 2. I stay in pj's all day 3. I have a marathon day watching movies 4. I cook all my favorite things even if they are not healthful 5. I eat chocolate right out of the box and if I don't like it I throw it away and go for another piece 6. I let the dishes stackup in the sink 7. I do no work around the house 8. I read a good book (hardback) 9. I take a wonderful bubbly bath 10. I hug my furbabies all day long Okay, by now you see I break all the rules my mother gave me but hopefully you get my point. Enjoy the peace of the day!

| Prayers for you to feel better I read your posting and we know what it is to have a debilitating disease, do hope you are doing better. We keep praying that one day there will be a cure for these diseases afflicting so many. My husband has Progressive Parkinsons, we just lost our Cassie Nov. 5th. it has been very hard on both of us, I am looking to get another, she was so much comfort to him and to me too. We are at a loss without her. She was 10 years, and always so healthy, this was quite sudden. Our Cassie was such a Blessing to us, in fact the week before she passed I held her and told her how much she was loved and that we was the luckiest people in the world to be Blessed in having her, I always had good conversations with her, which I am thankful for. Oh, she knew she was loved very much by the both of us. I have to look at it this way, God brought her in to our lives and so it was HIS time for us to give her back to HIM, knowing that she is in a happy place and enjoying all the joys that HE has prepared for her and all our other special pets. Please pray that we will find the perfect little yorkie to help fill the void that we are feeling, we can never replace her that would be impossable but I know there is a little one out there waiting for us to love. Our prayers are with you to feel better and for one day there will be a cure for lupus, parkinsons, etc. sent with all sincerity, Patti |
