I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Yes, and I’ve read so many different sites that recommend this, never any type of warning.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | The report says: "The two most recent cases were also linked to swimming in warm, fresh water, where N. fowleri thrives, but news reports said the Louisiana man contracted the infection after flushing his sinuses with tap water."

| Last I read about it there were 2 victims, now a third!? That is so scary & creepy. Meningitis almost claimed my sister's life (thank God it didn't) & that would be a horrible way to go out.

| This was so upsetting to me when DH told me about it. We live steps away from a National Park and I take my 7 y.o. niece swimming there often. I know we can't live thinking about all the "what if's" that could happen but things like this are so scary to hear about. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | For a while that nose flushing thing was all the rage, I think if you don't do that, you're pretty safe.

| How do you flush out your sinuses? I hate getting water up my nose, that sounds really uncomfortable. |

I'm w you, I couldn't pour water up my nose. You're supposed to tip your head the other way then, and the water comes out the other side of your nose - yuck!
