Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Casey Anthony's lawyer being investigated. Casey Anthony Lawyer Investigated By State Bar | TMZ.com The crux of the investigation is that he was aware of the discrepancy between the verbal and written order for probation but he failed to inform the court. As an officer of the court was he under obligation to clarify the discrepancy?

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I wondered if they were going to do something about this, yes Judge Perry really gave him hell in court, and said that even though he was an advocate for his client’s rights he was first and foremost an officer of the court and should have pointed this discrepancy out as soon as he learned about it. He has no scruples or ethics and I hope life gives him plenty of what he deserves. Go judge go!

| Well if he knew about it and didnt inform him of it I quess hes deserving of it. I know people think he is unscruplous and just really cant stand him but he was just doing his job when he defended Casey and he did a good job of doing it.

| http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sourc...tiSGCpmoziVD7g I think this is a clear violation of the attorney's duty of candor. I attached a link describing some of what it entails. He was under obligation to inform the court of the "clerical error" when he noticed it. He is first and foremost an officer of the court. Secondly, he is to provide a zealous defense. I think his colorful past w financial difficulties, lack of child support payments, etc., speak to his character. It is why his legal licensure was held up.

| I tell you why he didn't correct it. He never believed that evil client of his was going to walk. He had plans to make the money on deals after she was sentenced. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I think you're right on this; he was thrilled he saved her from the death sentence, but never in his wildest dreams did he think she'd walk. I think he totally misled the jurors into what "reasonable doubt” is. He kept saying things like if you can find any doubt here or here or here than it's your duty to follow the constitution blah blah blah. He seemed to think they should have no doubt in any little part of the case. I absolutely feel it was wrong to suggest that Casey was molested, and have no proof whatsoever. I don't think that was right at all. Whew, I needed to vent again! Anyway, I think he looked shocked when the verdict was read.
