| Hamsters....anyone here know a lot about them?? My daughter's hamster seems to have an issue...and we aren't sure what it is. It isn't eating and it's butt area seems really swollen. It's a female, and I've looked up the prolapsed rectum and it doesn't look like that. I'll try finding a small mammal vet tomorrow, but for now, I'm trying to give my daughter some answers.....

| I hope the hamster is OK. My younger son used to have hamsters. They were just so cute. Did you just get your hamster, if so, could she be having babies? Or maybe she's going into heat? I hope you find a vet and get some answers. |

| I've heard of this before but for the life of me cannot remember what it was or even what it is called. I guess your best bet is going to the vet in the morning.
