| Need a job? Get talent Oh boy I really could use a job about now. I have been searching, applying and have gone on several interviews and still nothing. I have had several promising prospects even to go as far as the employer telling me I am the best canidate and they will get back to me and nothing. When I contact them I am told that they have taken a new direction with the job and I am no longer needed. Why do they even post a job opening if they really don't have the position? Then of course I am already feeling a bit defeated when I come across some extermely talented people and it appears that everything they touch turns to gold and people make jobs up just so they can hire them. UGH!! Now not only do I need a job I need talent! Have a great day for tomorrow is new! |

| I agree... Craigslist is an amazing resource. I am also searching for a job (teacher), and have had no luck.

| I'll bet you have very special talents, maybe still hidden or unrecognized. I have heard it said and read that being without a job is one of the most stressful things that happens in our lives so I really know that you are having a very very bad time. I did hear on the news several times lately that more companies are hiring and there are less unemployment claims and the more workers there are, the more they buy and the more employers need to hire to meet demand so that the whole economy starts to pick up. It sounds like with things beginning to pick up, some of those people are seriously going to need workers and maybe you will be the very next one hired. I hope so, at least. But it sounds like things are getting better and that surely means more hiring. Keep your chin up and I am praying that your job is coming before long.

| I'm in the job searching boat so I feel your pain... keep plugging along, you'll find the perfect job. I always look at it this way, if it was meant to be they would've called you back, maybe someone has a better plan for you. that's what I keep telling myself.

| Thank you all for the words of encouragement. Times are tough everywhere and I just had a moment of UGHS that I just had to let out. I try to keep up a good front at home as to not upset anyone especially my DH because he feels bad that things are so tough. He really does not want me to have to work so it is hard on him. I just keep praying that God has a plan for me and I do believe that things work the way they do for a reason. THANKS!!! |

| awwww... Im sorry this keep happening. Believe it or not, I feel your pain. I am lucky enough (I guess) to have a job, but I am looking for a new job... over a year now. I have had a few interviews and I'll go so far as to say that IF I hear back from the company after I hound them every 2 weeks, I don't get the job and I get NO feedback at all. No idea why I didn't get it. Currently I have been informally told that I got a job, but they are asking for references and do not like the ones I've provided. I can't really give them other ones without jeopardizing my current job, which I can't do for obvious reasons. So its frustrating as well. hang in there, I really hope that something comes through for you soon!
