| I read a LOT of Dr. Mercola's info when trying to get my thyroid situation figured out. He was right on and made a HUGE difference when I got on T3 as well as T4 thyroid supplementation. I have my thyroid removed so if there is a conversion problem, it is even worse when no T3 is taken directly. So many docs just want to prescribe Synthroid (synthetic T4 only) alone and that is not enough for a lot of us. As much as I gained from some of his articles, I also suggest caution when you read. He does have a tendency to sensationalize and rail against mainstream medicine maybe a little too much. The conventional docs are not always wrong. Best to read what all have to say, research, research, research and then go armed with your knowledge to discuss with your own doc. Rarely is there one cure-all or one plan of treatment that works BEST for all people.
