| Need to rant... Crappy day. Ugh. that's how I feel right now, it's not just another manic monday, it's like manic monday on drugs! -Woke up, almost forgot it was monday, almost turned off alarm -Harley didn't eat breakfast (slightly concerned, gave him rice instead, vet said don't worry yet) -group meeting where we wanted to strangle one said member -Get dropped off at library to get books for said group member (discovered library was closed) -Call from the bf Harley is throwing up and stool is runny -Plumber has yet to arrive to fix broken out pipe (ie no flushing, showers or draining) -clean dog's room to the best of my ability without water -call vet -my mom comes to visit -cancel all appointments, professor tells me I need a note from the vet to skip class -Going to vet soon, *wants to cry*. Luckily read the post on here about the dogs not liking moving (hillarious btw)... YT is therapy.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | In my mind, everything else is an annoying inconvenience - Harley being sick is the only important thing -- pat yourself on the back for having your priorities straight and let yourself have a good cry later -- it will reduce your stress and you'll feel better. Here's hoping Harley's problem turns out to be minor upset. A note from the vet?! Your professor must have been burned by some deadbeat students in the past. |

| I feel slightly better, Harley is improving, he's hyper and happy, just can't keep food down, they gave him a shot and some meds to settle his tummy. Now sadly it's time to deal with all the other crap. That and I'm in shock over the fact that 2 minutes of poking, 1ml of oral medicine and a shot cost $100. But such is life, some day when I'm a lawyer and I'm done with all this school crap that'll be the equivalent to buying a coffee for me now (I hope). Yeah I think the prof is a bit annoying, but he's willing to give me full participation marks if I submit the receipts from the vet, ugh. Still no plumber, I'm trying to figure out how to clean the poo off Harley's grid without using water or getting myself dirty. My first thought was the outdoor hose, becuase then it's not using a drain (cause the water delivery system isn't broken just the drain pipe) BUT of course it snowed today, so the hose is probably frozen (gotta love Canadian weather). I'm hoping I can track down the land lady and figure out when the plumber is coming, cause honestly I really don't think I can go another 24 hours without flushing my toilet. I know this probably isn't the best rhetorical question to ask, cause I'm probably going to get laughs from all the much more wiser people out there, but Why does being an adult have to suck soooo much!?!?

| LOL too true. I remember thinking how I could not wait until I grew up because then I would be in control over what happened to me in my life. Then I grew up and realized the only thing I could control was how I reacted to what life handed me. And on a bad day I could barely do that. Hang in there I hope the plumber comes soon and poor Harley feels better!

I'm starting to figure out that adulthood is simply dealing with crap, thinking it'll be better in six months or a year, and then next year you say the same thing all over again.

I'm so glad Harley is better! I hope you get your plumbing fixed pronto. Everything else will look so much rosier then!

Maybe that's why I'm so frustrated and bitter about being an adult... lol... I don't think I ever got to be a teenager. Harley is much better now. He's curled up at my feet chasing a toy around. He's also kept a bland diet down so far, (fingers crossed for a good night).

" If I'd gone as long as you have without the plumbing fixed by now, if she lived in the area, I would have to "visit" the landlady and "borrow " her bathroom! (And shower, lol!) |

| She lives across the hall.... so I'm assuming hers is just as out of use? I dunno. I emailed her (cause I don't have a home phone number) and tried her door, but she never answers and her roommate is weird. i'm going to call her office today as well. She's a strange land lady. I'm getting to a point that honestly she never contacted me directly to tell me there was a problem, so I'm just going to use the freakin water. I found out there was a problem cause the guy upstairs (all other people living here are condo owners) found the problem and asked us to help investigate by turning taps and stuff on. So when we flushed (clean water thankfully) it all came leaking out of this pipe in the basement. He contacted everyone in the building including my land lady, and called the plumber. Haven't heard from anyone since that conversation on Sunday afternoon. So I'm at a point, my dishes are piled up, I have a sick dog (but much better) who's tray needs cleaning and I want a real shower and a flushable toilet. Things like this make me wonder if I really want to renew this lease in August, but the other alternative is moving to Ontario, cause the BF doesn't want to move again if we stay in Halifax. Keep telling myself "rent is cheap, it is affordable, and it could be WORSE"
