| Beware: Viruses coming from YT?? Has anyone noticed computer viruses attacking your computer right after getting off YT? This has happened twice to me, I didn't think so at first but now I figure it has to be from YT. My other computer was horribly attacked today....right after logging off YT? I hope Admin can look into this. I think there might be some hackers on this site. Just wanted to caution everyone. I have a much better pprotection on this computer, but I will not be on YT for a while so I can be sure it's really coming from here.

| You most likely have a virus or rootkit running. Download, install & update a copy of malware bytes. The free version is fine. Let it remove anything it finds. Then grab a copy of TDSSKiller & run a scan for rootkits (hidden viruses sorta kinda). Let it remove anything it finds. After these, update your antivirus & run a full scan. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I haven't noticed this at all. It's probably due to your browser settings and/or virus protection software.

| Thanks for the tip. Hackers and viruses seem to be everywhere these day - scares me. I have Norton Internet Security running(and it updates frequently per hour) and Malwarebytes which I update/run frequently but don't know what else to do. Any more suggestions? |

I will say this. To make a long story short, yes. Something started happening to our computer the other day. All of a sudden can't view youtube, or any sort of video. I thought ok, we need to update our adobe flash. Wrong. It won't even let me install that! It keeps telling me it's already installed?! Also, somebody/something has hacked into my husbands email or something because his fb was posting stuff yesterday when he wasn't even online! I noticed it when I was checking mine and he was sitting accross the room from me watching t.v. We have chalked it up to some sort of virus maybe. He kept telling me it was the doggie website I keep visiting. Honestly who knows, we both visit more than one website, so it's hard to narrow it down. To South, thank you for your info. I am going to try all that now!

Yeah, it's hard to really pinpoint where this sort of stuff comes from. Could be one of hundreds of places! It really ticks me off though, I just can't seem to wrap my head around what people get out of starting these darn viruses! Anyhow, if I get the flash thing figured out I will let ya know how I did it!

Thanks for the information. I have never heard of either of these. I have installed malware bytes and I am looking at the other now. I hate to tell everyone but you can get the viruses from any where. Just searching on google and clicking a site you can get attacked. I looked up recipes and got a virus here not too long ago (end of last year). I had Norton antivirus that didn't even catch it. I have switched now and I use Microsoft Security Essentials (which is free). I think who ever does these viruses and junk need to get a stinkin' life!

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Just being connected to the Internet without even doing anything can leave you with a virus or malware. This is why it's so important that the very first thing you do with a new computer is get a good antivirus program going. You and your husband should probably use a computer you think hasn't been infected to change your passwords anywhere you have been on the infected pc(s), and wherever possible use a secure connection (begins with https instead of http or www). |
